Colonial America -

We walked over to the stairs that lead up to the throne my father sat on. My father still seemed very curious about Virginia, but I pushed that thought aside. I was frankly interested in what my father called me here for. I mean, it's been years sense I last saw my father face to face.

My father looked down at me and my son, "I have been informed that there has been some... issues over at the colony of Virginia. Not to mention the Virginia Company is still greatly in debt to me..."
Virginia had a sheepish smile glued to his face, Virginia knew exactly what he was talking about.
Britain continued, "So, I am afraid, that I must revoke their charter-"
"What?!" Virginia and I both exclaimed.
"Wait! I'm not done," Britain continued, "I am revoking the Virginia Companies charter and replacing it with a Royal Charter."

Virginia and I both let out a sigh of relief. We had no clue what would happen when a charter was revoked, and frankly didn't want to know. But if his charter is just switching from the control of the Virginia Company to the King, then he should remain the same.
"But I do have one last question to ask of you," My father added.
"What would that be?" I asked.
"Well, I was wondering if you would like to come back to live with me, here in England." He stated.
"Dad I-" I started, then felt someone grab my wrist. I looked down to see Virginia. He shook his head slightly as if to say 'please don't go'.
"I'll give you a while to decide, I expect an answer by tomorrow." My father stated.

One of fathers servants then lead us to our rooms. Virginia ended up with a guest room right next to mine. I walked into my room. It had been a while sense I had been here. It was spotless as always. I sighed, as memories came rushing into mind. I admit, I missed it. But I had a new home in the 'New World'. I couldn't just leave it, besides I had kids to take care of. How could I live with myself if I just left them there, especially after all the things that have happened.

I sat on my old bed. Then I heard a knock on the door.
"Come in!" I said.
The door opened revealing a worried looking Virginia. He walked in and sat down next to me.
"Hey, what wrong?" I asked, pulling Virginia into a hug.
"You... you aren't going to stay here, right?" He asked nervously.
I smiled at him and said, "No, of course not. I could never leave you all..."
I pulled him closer, and he hugged back.
"So," I asked, "what do you think of your Grandfather?"
"He seems nice I guess..." Virginia stated, "I wish him not to refer to me as his colony though."
I chuckled softly, "It's getting late, you should head on to bed. Okay?"
"Okay," Virginia said, walking out of the room and shutting the door behind him.

Virginia - the next day

Today we leave back for home. I hadn't slept very well last night, I was still worried about dad leaving me, despite all the things he said. Moment of truth, in a little while we'll see. I walked out of my room, I was already dress, I had gotten up early. I walked down the stairs and heard my father and grandfather talking. I walked into the dining room and took a seat next to my father. He smiled at me and I smiled back, trying to contain the worries I felt deep inside. It would only make sense for him to stay, it's so much nicer here.

Then I finally hear Britain ask the question that I dreaded, "So, Colonial America, have you come to your decision on where you will be staying?"
I held a breath as I waited for my fathers answer.
"Yes, I have," He said, I stiffened up a bit, "I'll be stay in the 'New World'."
I looked up at him.
"What? I told you I wasn't leaving, didn't I?" He asked, a smug smile on his face.
"Very well then," Britain said, breaking me from my shock, "I wish you a safe trip back then!"
We ate our breakfast then prepared to leave for home.
