JENNIE'S POV (mostly flashbacks for this chapter)
FLASHBACK
Me and Lisa just finished dinner. She didn't cook but instead she ordered. That was unusual for her because she usually cook us dinner if I come home from work.
We are now lying down on our bed when I felt the need for my buddy. I wrapped my arms on her waist, as I touch her stomach but she shoved it off.
"Jennie not now, I'm not in the mood." She said with a tone of coldness visible in it.
I just shrug it away and drifted to dreamland.
The next morning I woke up without Lisa beside me. I quickly got up and went to the bathroom to do my morning routine. After that, I went down the kitchen but she wasn't there. I just thought maybe she is cooking that's why I went there first.
I then proceeded to the living room. There she was there sitting on the couch with a folder infront of her laying down the coffee table.
"Hi Goodmorning Lili." I greeted her. She was just silent. I made my way to her and sat beside her.
I felt a bucket of cold water pour into my body because of the words she just spit.
"Sign this paper, I wanna be happy again."
"Huh?" That's the only thing that came out of my mouth. She handed me the papers. I looked into it and realized it was a divorce paper. I looked at her but she wasn't looking at me. But I can see her tears coming out of her beautiful brown orbs.
"Why?"
"You should know that Jennie. I'm the one you're tied with not your fuc—...not your job." She said, and realization hit me.... I didn't give time for her since I got a job.
I bit my lips to stop myself from crying. "I see."
I quickly took the pen on the coffee table and signed the papers and gave it to her with my hands shaking.
Lisa put it on the folder and got up wiping her tears. She turned around to walk away when I grabbed her wrist.
"Jennie, don't make this hard for me please." Lisa says, her voice cracked.
"Do I make it hard? I... Lili.." I called for her and make her turn to face me.
She is a crying mess and I can't help to cry too. I hugged her tight, because I know this will be the last time I'll be able to hug her inside my roof. She hugged me back as she sobbed on my chest.
"I love you. Always remember that, never in my life I never loved you. It's okay, I deserve this I'm a bad wife." I said and cupped her cheeks. She was just silent, it was killing me. I want to hear her more before she leave the house.
"Please say something Lili. Just for this time. Let me hear it from you." I just want her to say I love you for the last time.
"I... I love you Jennie." She said and sobbed harder. I cupped her cheeks once again and looked at her teary eyes.
"Can I kiss you?" I said, "A goodbye kiss." I added and she nod. So I quickly captured her lips.
I kissed her passionately a very long loving kiss. A kiss that I will let her remember. I cried as I was kissing her. We pulled away when we needed oxygen then we just hugged each other for the last time.
"I guess this is it then." I said and forced a smile for her.
"Yeah, t-take care Jennie. Goodbye."
