⭕Loralie⭕

I stand in Derek's loft with Scott, Lydia, and Jordan who apparently survived being set on fire without a single wound. Derek looks at Jordan's hands. I'm getting increasingly worried about Derek with each passing day. He no longer has super strength, accelerated healing, and he can't even flash his eyes anymore.

I borrowed some guns and ammo from Chris and taught Derek what I could. Living in Portland and being what Melody and I are I wanted to make sure we were safe so I had David teach me how to shoot. "He covered you in gasoline?" Derek asks breaking me from my thoughts and I focus back on what's happening.

Jordan drops his hands back to his side. "It's the hair and nails, isn't it? The parts of the body that are essentially dead." Derek looks over at the redhead. "Well, they should be gone."

"I was set on fire. All of me should be gone."

"Not if you're like us," Scott interjects and I nod in agreement. "Like you?" Jordan asks in confusion and we share looks with each other. I mean, he might not know what he is, but he still has to be supernatural. We can't just let him stay in the dark it's too dangerous now.

"I don't think he's like us," Derek says and Lydia looks up at Jordan with a fascinated smile on her face. "Then what is he?"

"Sorry, but I have no idea. Lora?" I shrug my shoulders to show I know as much as he does. "I'm sorry, this is out of my wheelhouse. I've heard about creatures that pale in comparison to the wendigo, but nothing like this."

"But Derek you knew about Jackson and Kira," Scott points out and Derek gives him a look. "This is a little out of my experience. There might be something in the bestiary. Did you try Argent?"

"I don't know where he is."

"Okay, hold on. What's a bestiary? Actually, that's not even my first question. Just… just tell me one thing. Are all of you like Lydia?" The redhead arches her brow questioningly and the deputy looks back at us. "Are all of you psychic?"

I chuckle quietly at how ridiculous that sounds and shake my head, sharing a look with Scott. "Psychic?" Derek asks with amusement in his eyes. "Yeah."

"Not exactly," Scott says and I cross my arms. Since Derek can't flash his eyes its up to the True Alpha and I. "Okay. Then what are you?" Scott looks over at Derek who basically silently tells him to do what he thinks is right. After what just happened to Jordan he's about as ready as he can get to accepting that the supernatural is real.

Scott and I turn back to Jordan, glowing our eyes at him.

I stare down at Jordan as we finish telling him all we can to explain how much we know without completely overwhelming him. "What's a Kanima?" He asks when Scott finishes and the True Alpha sits down on the couches armrest, putting his feet on the cushion.

I lean against the pillar with Derek standing beside me, his arms crossed as Lydia moves closer to the wooden table in front of the couch. "We'll get back to that. Just know that everyone like us, everyone with some kind of supernatural ability is on the dead pool."

"But I don't even know what I am."

"I'm pretty sure they don't care," Derek states and Jordan looks over at him from his spot on the couch. "How many professional assassins are we talking about?"

"We're starting to lose count," I answer as I remember the feeling of those bullets entering my body. "But is it still just professionals?" Scott asks and I don't like where this is going. "I don't think Haigh's ever tried anything like this. I think he was taking a chance."
