I sink my body down into the water slowly wincing as it envelopes my injured ankle, but don't stop until the water laps at my chin. I smile when I remember what Stiles said to me. I allow the water to transform my body for the first time in months and look down at the telae between my fingers.

I lounge in the water my mind centered around the sarcastic boy. 🎵My name is Maria, a merchants daughter fair. And I have left my parents and three thousands pounds a year. There's a knock on the door before it opens and my mother comes in. She sees that I'm transformed and smiles with joy. "Haven't seen you like that in a long time. Or hear you sing that old song. Are you starting to feel better about yourself."

"For now," I say before concentrating and my extra appendages disappear. She leans forward and tucks my hair behind my ear. "So beautiful." I smile and rest my chin on the edge of the tub. "I'll be going out tonight and I won't be back for awhile, so don't wait up for me."

"Okay, Mom."

"Anyway, how is your ankle?"

"After this last soak it should be completely healed." She smiles and presses a kiss to my forehead before standing up. "I'll let you enjoy the water for a little while longer but then you need to go to school."

"Yes, ma'am." She smiles and leaves the bathroom and I stay in for a few more minutes. I look at my ankle and watch as it heals completely. I smile and push myself up, putting weight on that ankle, happy that there's no pain. I get out of the tub after draining it and wrap a towel around myself.

I leave the bathroom and go to my room, closing the door behind me. I walk over to my closet and rifle through it, eventually pulling out a blue and white striped tank, ripped jean shorts, and sneakers. I grab my bra and panties from the dresser and get dressed. I use the towel to dry my hair and then run a brush through it.

I pull on my necklace and clasp it. I grab my bag and phone before leaving the apartment and heading to school. I listen to music on my earbuds all the way to school. I walk through the door and look around to see if I could find Stiles.

When I don't I turn off my music and walk up to Kira who doesn't look all that happy. "Are you okay, Kira?" She looks up at me and forces a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine." I nod and walk with her to class.

The day went by agonizingly slowly and then finally my free period came around. Kira had a test to retake so that means I was on my own. So, instead of going to the library I decide to go for a swim. I've done it before once I realized that it was devoid of students during this period.

I go to my locker and pull out my swimsuit and towel before hurrying to the pool. I change and put my clothes into my backpack. The suit was just a plain blue one piece. I gather my hair up off my neck and put it into a bun. I smile and dive right in, starting laps.
