19 - A Joyful Moment

      'What happened to you?' he asked in a worried voice as I was still shaking a bit.

      'I had a nightmare' I explained.

       'Nightmare?' he answered confused as if he didn't know what it meant.

       'Yes when you sleep and you see scary images'

He still didn't seem to understand, and as they apparently didn't know about nightmares I also wasn't too sure how to explain it to him better.

       'What images did you see'?' he asked after a moment of silence.

I looked down 'I saw the images from the day you arrived, and we were hunted by your kind. That last part didn't happen but that is what nightmares do, they create scary images'

Taehyung looked down as well, and it wasn't hard the guess what he was thinking of as he seemed to feel guilty.

I wanted to say something but I wasn't sure what.

      'Youdon't need to fear me y/n' He eventually said, still looking away from me. Hegot up on his feet again to leave. 

      'I don't' I said and he looked back

It was strange but true, although I just had a nightmare about his kind and the most terrifying day of my life, I trusted taehyung.

He gave me a nod but I did detect some relief from his side, and then he moved to his own corner again.

The following day it rained again, it didn't happen that often before but now it was two times. As we passed a gigantic house the group decided it was a good idea to have a longer break this time. It was an old fashioned kind of house.

When I walked around the house I soon noticed an object. I ran towards the old Gramophone.

    'We can play music!!' I said enthusiastically. 

I couldn't explain how excited this got me. Ever since the electricity ran out we couldn't play music on our phones or other devices as we had done before. This was a device from 100 years ago which didn't ran on electricity. It has a handle on the side which you have to rotate and then let go and the vinyl will play,

Taehyung had followed me and stared at me confused.

     'How?'

     'I'll show you!' I said and I was looking around for this person's vinyl collection. I spotted them in this very old fashioned closet.

     'This owner loved opera' I said as I scrolled through the different vinyls.

      'Don giovanni' I said to myself as I took out the record.

I placed it on the device and started turning the handle

I let go and indeed out loud there was music coming from the big gramophone.

I excitedly clapped, and hearing the music tears formed in my eyes. It might seem dramatic but hearing music for the first time in two months really meant the world to me. 

Taehyung pov

The sounds coming from the machine were wonderful. I stared at the machine and then at y/n who was also emerged in the sounds.

The sound stopped but y/n immediately ran back to the cabin which had all these round objects in them. She quickly took out another one.

Her eyes sparkled with joy
