The Others | BTS x Reader

28 - A Thing

After a few hours we decided it had been enough walking for the day. We arrived in this little street that had a couple of houses next to each other. Jungkook quickly decided that it was better if they took a house for themselves and we for us, it seemed Yoongi and my entire group agreed immediately.

I also didn't want to pressure them into becoming friends, plus I had to say that I was longing for some time alone with Yoongi. From the moment I stared into his eyes in the grocery shop until now there had been people around.

And not just people, my brother and The Others which in yoongi's eyes were the enemy. 

We secured the house, as we always did, going from room to room to make sure it was safe.

As always it was.

It hadn't happened yet that we encountered anyone, in the beginning I think we all hoped we would find survivors but nothing.

      'y/n and me will take a room' Yoongi declared

      'no you're not' Namjoon replied immediately

       'oh come on Joon, we even slept together in a room before we became a thing and you knew and you were okay with it' Yoongi countered.

A thing? we hadn't necessarily defined anything, it had not come to mind and after we reunited there also wasn't really time to do so.

Jin and Hoseok awkwardly looked away as if they weren't part of the group and I just stared at Yoongi who looked at my brother.

      'fine, you're right.' Namjoonsighed a bit reluctantly

I followed Yoongi up the stairs towards the room. When we stepped inside the room and I closed the door behind me I immediately felt my wrist being grabbed.

Yoongi pulled me closer to him in an embrace

      'hi' I almost whispered. Now that he held me in his arms it was clear I had been dying for this.

       'I wanted to hold you so bad' he whispered and my cheeks flustered. Instead of hiding shyly into his chest I looked up and I slowly leaned closer to kiss his lips.

Yoongi seemed to understand my intention and he cupped my face to connect in a proper kiss.

        'I am sorry I was so distant but there was so much happening, plus I don't know how to act with your brother here too.' He explained when we took a moment to catch our breath 

It did touch my heart that Yoongi explained it but honestly we weren't the touchiest in front of others before either (as in in front of Hoseok and Soobin etc). Only when we were just the two of us and I actually liked it that way.

I shook my head 'I don't need pda as a confirmation you are into me'

Yoongi's eyes widened a little but a soft smile formed on his face

        'I'll show you how much I am into you in private then' he chuckled

He stepped back and soon we fell backwards on the bed together. Yoongi still embracing me but soon he connected our lips again and we were kissing with a certain urgency.

At some point we stopped again to catch a breath

       'So we are a thing huh?' I asked him with a chuckle

        'I wanted to call you my girlfriend but as I hadn't properly asked you yet it seemed premature.'

         'Is this your way of asking me?' I asked as I put my arms on his chest facing him.

        'dear Kim y/n, do you want to be my girlfriend?'

It was the way he looked at me, the way he asked me this question that sent a bolt of happiness through my body.

        'Dear min yoongi, yes I want that very much'

He shook his head while a wide gummy smile crept onto his face.

        'You know I have been wondering..' I started

        'How did you find Namjoon and Jin?' 

Yoongi pov

I walked in the store getting to the canned food. I was happy Hoseok decided to join me, I knew it wasn't an easy choice for him. We both took different paths.

I tapped the pantry with my sword in a melody but suddenly a hand was on mine and stopped me. 'sst' I heard Hoseok voice next to me. Then close by I heard some boys talking. they probably just entered the shop.

Their voices weren't loud but it surely were humans and not Others. Still we always had to be careful because other humans were not always good people. We've been lucky so far but you never know. We stayed quiet while the voices came closer.

No fucking way, I recognised that voice. But that was impossible. One of the boys talked again but I was sure. I stepped out 'what are you doing?' Hoseok hissed 'listen to the voice we know them' I said and I saw Hoseok paying attention and his eyes grew big. I turned around the corner and immediately they raised their swords 'hey hey, you don't greet your friends like that' I said

'Yoongi?'

      'You accidentally met them in a supermarket? just like we did? That's crazy'

Yoongi nodded 'yes it really was, I guess it is in the end the most likely place as its the place that has the biggest chance of providing food, but yes its still pretty insane. '

That night we fell asleep in each others night and it seemed the best sleep I had gotten in the past weeks.

Days of walking past and it seemed the groups were getting more adjusted and accepting of each other. We still slept in separate houses when possible, I guess everyone prefer it that way while sleeping but a part of me hoped that at some point they would trust each other enough to really behave like one group.

Namjoon was particularly interested in Jungkook's story. I think my brother had a hard time accepting that the humans had been so cruel to Jungkooks fiance. He was also interested in their world and for some reason it seemed the two of them had respect for each other. Apart from me and Namjoon, Jungkook hardly interacted with the humans in our group. 

Jimin seemed to connect with Hoseok, maybe because they both were so cheery and caring. I think, when they are not in immediate danger, they are the sunshines of each of our respective groups.

Lastly Jin talked most with Zhora, I think it was because she was also the most approachable one of the bunch. It seemed to piss off Jimin at first but Jin wasn't a flirty guy at all, and it was pretty clear he also didn't approach Zhora in that way. It was similar to me actually, more or less like a little sister.

and that left Taehyung and Yoongi but let's say they weren't too keen on each other. They hardly exchanged a word and I occasionally caught them staring at each other in a very intimidating way. They were both leaders of their own groups so I guess having two of them together causes some friction.
