33 - Discovery

Days have passed since the girl escaped from us and there hasn't been any trail since. It was beyond frustrating. We hardly encountered any humans in this area anymore.

My thoughts were interrupted by a loud beeping noise.

     'There are Others close by' Jeonghan said

       'Taehyung' I answered as a logical conclusion, considering they were the only other group in this area.

        'Find them' I ordered my group and soon they disappeared into different directions.

        'Boss' Joshua shouted loudly from my right side so I ran towards his voice.

There a part of Taehyung's group was gathered

        'Hello again' I greeted them and in the meantime my group all gathered behind me

       'Hello' Jungwon answered, it was strange because normally I'd be greeted by Taehyung as their leader.

      'Same question as last time; have you encountered the human girl by any chance?' I asked

      'No, why would we?' Jungwon answered a little bit too defensively

I raised my eyebrow

      'Where is my beautiful Zhora?' I asked instead while looking around.

      'She is not here'

That was weird, did they split up?

      'why not? Where is Taehyung?'

       'not here' Jungwon answered again quickly

I narrowed my eyes 'so where are they?'

Jungwon nervously looked away

      'They didn't divert from their way to the general, did they?'

Jungwon shook his head 'no, ofcourse not'

       'then where are they?' I now asked more impatiently

        'We don't need to tell you that' Heeseung answered instead of Jungwon

It was too coincidental. I told Taehyung I'd go after the girl and he and his friends leave their own group?

Already that first encounter he was behaving suspiciously but this only adds up to it.

Jeonghan grabbed Jungwons collar

       'You better tell our leader what he wants to know. He is above your rank'

Their group all stepped forwards and as a reaction so did mine. The entire atmosphere tensed up,

       'Jeonghan it's alright, we all want the same thing right, get to the general and clear this area of humans?' I said in an attempt to calm everyone down.

Jeonghan let go and I kept staring at Jungwon.

      'right? that's what we all want, including Taehyung?' 

There was a split of a second that his eyes widened before he became neutral again

        'of course' Jungwon answered
