21 : The Escort

Because of what happened during the recent meeting of the nobles, Princess Darya had become the talk of the social circle of the noblewomen. She got many invites to tea parties and many letters from noblewomen the same age as her. However, as she read all the letters with the same purposes, she did reply to every letter but she had rejected them all. She might have debuted in the social circle but it was six years ago. Except for the high ranking nobles, no one could remember exactly what she looks like.

It is because she is focusing on discussing her plan to Captain Billion's team. She was assigned to organize the hunting competition with the assistance of the knights and Marquis Hainey. For a whole week, she discussed and assigned all tasks as she inspected all the materials and tools to be used. She also selected people who are going to work with her with thorough research and investigation.

After that week, it did not end there as she has other projects to build. However, she needs permission from theaa Emperor and he is currently reading all of her papers that were all approved by the chamberlain. Upon reading all the documents that contained the project, the materials to be used, the number of people needed, the number of days it will take, and the funds, the Emperor was left speechless with the flawless work of his fourteen-year old granddaughter.

The Emperor immediately called for the Princess' personal tutors to investigate. However, he got the same answer from each of them.

"Her highness has an exceptional talent than you could imagine, your majesty. I believe that she had no need to be stimulated further as she had already achieved more than what we aimed for."

He got troubled by this same thought towards his granddaughter. Now he is worried about her well-being. He is aware that his granddaughter is talented in many aspects but he did not expect her to be as good as his highly proficient officials. She is even better than most of the nobles. Is his granddaughter perhaps really a genius?

After summoning all of the Princess' tutors, it was followed by her personal knight and maid. They are now standing in front of him.

"Tell me about the recent actions of the Princess." He commanded them.

The first one to talk was Ejila. "The Princess had been focusing on building the hunting grounds, your majesty. She had been working with Captain Billion and Marquis Hainey. She is not skipping any meal and is eating very well. Every night after dinner, she would read books from the Imperial library for an hour. After an hour, she would start to write something on a paper within an hour. After that, she would ask me to prepare her night bath before sleeping. That is her daily routine, your majesty."

So then, Alluka started speaking as well. "Her highness would go to Captain Key's training grounds every six in the morning. She would also try training the knights with her on-point criticisms and guide. The Princess had been serious about the hunting competition and she is working hard to reduce casualties. Moreover, she would sometimes mention about projects that she wants to build." Alluka had more to say but he knows that some of them should not be mentioned to the Emperor especially that time the Princess left the Imperial palace with Captain Theobarlt to go to Summeria.

The Emperor could only nod his head while listening to Ejila and Alluka. There is nothing exceptional with her daily routine except the things she does every night. But why does it feel like he is missing something?

"Where is Princess Darya as of now?"

Ejila and Alluka flinched and they looked at each other. The Emperor noticed this. "Is it something I, her grandfather, should not know?"

"N-No, your majesty," Alluka immediately replied. "Her highness is currently with Captain Theobarlt."

The Emperor's brows furrowed. "Captain Theobarlt?"
