Upon hearing what Zale said, Darya already has a presumption that she will believe. It was just a presumption but it is too painful to claim as just a presumption when she knows that it is going to happen in a minute. She did not interrogate Zale anymore. She just could not hear more about it as she felt like listening to it would be the end of her world.

“Lavenorth, assign the best of the knights to protect the fifth consort.” She had no time to think of many things as her mind was already occupied with too many possibilities. As soon as she arrived at her office still wearing her sleeping garments, Lavenorth who just arrived was terrified to hear her sudden command.

Sir Lavenorth was panicking after seeing the Emperor’s bad complexion while she was holding her sword.

“W-What happened, Your Majesty?” He wanted to walk closer to her but she seemed to be in a hurry. She was writing something on a…. golden paper? His eyes widened after seeing the paper.

Why would the Emperor use the golden paper? Is she making a will? Why would she make a will?!

“Your Majesty…” He was about to walk closer but he was stopped with another command.

“Please, protect Ejila and his son.”

“What?” What is Her Majesty saying?

“Protect the people of the Empire. Protect the stand of the Largoth Empire.”

Darya did not speak anymore as she scribbled her pen to the golden paper. After a few minutes, she abruptly left the office after telling Sir Lavenorth to take care of himself. He was left hanging and confused. He does not know what to do as he does not know why the Emperor is acting strange.

As soon as the door was closed, he immediately went to see what Emperor Darya wrote in the golden paper and later fell on his knees upon reading its contents.

Darya did not waste any more time as she ran to the stables without any guard. She took a horse and went to the secret passage to leave immediately. She giddied up the horse and made it run as fast as possible so she could arrive at her destination. While she is in the middle of her unexpected journey, neither she knows that there is a big commotion in the front gate outside the walls of the Imperial Palace.

Duke Esteban wielded his sword to attack the enemies who caused hubbub in the capital city. He just started to do his job about the foreigners but unexpectedly, there were too many foreigners who started attacking his team and the people. He thought about finishing the commotion by eliminating all the enemies as soon as possible but he was stopped upon hearing the ringing of the bell in the main gate.

“A rebellion!”

“It’s a rebellion!”

There his world shook as he immediately ran towards the main gate. “Her Majesty…” Fear was drawn in his face. And his eyes are trembling with salty waters starting to form in it. His mind was occupied with only one person.

“Find the Emperor!” He screamed all his voice out in the middle of commotion. “Protect the Emperor at all costs!”

His feet immediately took him to the palace, to the place where the Emperor could possibly be. That was the first time he felt like running was too slow. At this time, the Emperor might be in the office but as soon as he arrived, he found Sir Lavenorth standing on the balcony. He seemed to be waiting for him.

“The anti-imperial faction has rebelled,” he announced. “Where is Her Majesty?”

His heart was trembling when his eyes looked around the office as he could not spot the Emperor. Sir Lavenorth was silently watching him. Tears were forming in his eyes while pondering what could have happened to his ruler. Where could have been the Emperor after writing such a will? Is she planning to meet General Theobarlt at this crucial time?
