When Worlds Collide

Chapter 3

It was Saturday morning and Carina starts stirring awake from her slumber. The sunlight was peaking through her shades, glistening on her tan skin. Once she opens up her eyes in the sunlight, she groans.

"Fuck." Carina says as her head starts pounding. She gets up to go to the kitchen to get water and pain medicine to cure this hangover.

"Well good morning sunshine." Andrea says from the kitchen counter smiling with a cup of coffee in his hand.

"Good morning." Carina says back in a much lower and annoyed tone.

"Ohh poor baby, is someone hungover this morning?" Andrea cheekily remarked.

"Shut up." Carina glared at Andrea as she retrieved her necessities for her hangover.

"Nice hickey by the way." Andrea said as he smirked into his coffee while taking a sip. Carina ran to the mirror hanging on their living room wall. She thought the hickey would have subsided a little bit, but sure enough it looks even worse.

"Fuck." Carina groaned to herself as she looked at it in the mirror and started rubbing it. She took her hair and flipped it to the side, trying to cover it up.

"Uneventful events my ass." Andrea said as he chuckled to Carina. "Don't worry, I won't ask." Andrea remarked to Carina as she rolled her eyes.
"What are your plans for the day?" Andrea asked.

"Um, I have to meet with the real estate agent in about an hour for a house showing." Carina exclaimed. Right in the moment Carina's face changed. "Dang it." Carina whispered as she remembers her and Maya's actions last night, both more drunk than they thought.

"What?" Andrea remarked.

"Nothing, just tired, not in the mood for house hunting." Carina said as she walked away.

"Well thank you for asking, but I will be at the hospital all day today! Don't mind me!" Andrea yelled at Carina as she walked away.

"I figured!" Carina yelled back and flipped him her middle finger as she trotted into her room to get ready.

Andrea is a Surgical Resident at the Los Angeles Hospital. He spends most of his life at the hospital, grabbing any surgeries he can in the ER. He is very talented, and is in the running for Chief Resident. He is never really home, so when he is, he never misses a chance to goof off with his sister who he loves very much.

Carina started to get ready to meet with Maya. She didn't know what to expect from Maya, and was internally freaking out on how their encounter will be after last night. Carina slowly showered and got ready, throwing on a yellow sundress as it was a very nice day in LA today. She decided to braid her hair down her back, but tried covering up her hickey with a lot of makeup. Once she felt like Maya wouldn't notice it, she looked in the mirror feeling good about herself, that's when she got a text from Maya.

Maya Bishop: Good morning, Ms. Deluca. Here is the address to the first house showing today. Can you be there in 30 minutes?

Carina saw the text with the link to the address.

Ms. Deluca: Good morning to you too, Maya. Yes I can be there. See you soon.

Maya Bishop: See you soon!

Carina grew increasingly nervous. "It is fine, it will be okay. She is just my agent. We can move on from last night." Carina muttered under her breath while taking a deep breath. She went to go make breakfast and enjoy some coffee as she still had some time before she had to leave to meet Maya.

As for Maya, she woke up also very hungover, with a throbbing headache. She woke up early so that she could head to the real estate firm to work on some things before she met up with Carina at the house showing. Oh no, Maya thought to herself, Carina. "Uh, why do I always fuck things up!" Maya yelled to herself. She mustered herself out of bed and started to get ready. Of course, she put on a blush pink suit set for work, also somewhat trying to impress Carina. She curled her short hair into loose curls and put on a little bit of makeup as usual for work.
