When Worlds Collide

Chapter 27

Carina woke up before Maya since the blonde didn't get much sleep last night. She was drunk all throughout the night, tossing and turning, and ended up throwing up two more times from the amount of alcohol she drank. Carina helped her get to the toilet both times, since the blonde was stumbling and could barely get out of bed.

The teacher laid there, looking over at the blonde every once in awhile to make sure she was still okay. Maya was passed out, so Carina decided to get up and order room service for when Maya wakes up, knowing she will need some food in her stomach.

Forty-five minutes later, there was knocking on their door.

"Room service." The worker said.

"Oh thank god, I'm starving." Carina mumbled as she got up and put a robe on. There was another knock.

"Hmm too loud." Maya mumbled as she woke up, putting a pillow over her head to drown out the noise. Carina retrieved their food, shut the door, and crawled back into bed with a plate of food. She sat there casually eating, while Maya laid there with the pillow over her head still, then she could smell the bacon. She peaked her head out from the pillow with an eyebrow raise. Carina looked at her while she took a bite of the bacon, she knew what Maya wanted.

"Bite?" Maya asked cutely as she opened her mouth. Carina playfully rolled her eyes and fed her a bite.

"How are you feeling?" Carina asked.

"Dead. And stupid...." Maya responded as she sat up and leaned against the headboard next to Carina, pulling the blanket over her naked chest.

"Stupid?" Carina asked confused, giving Maya a bite of a waffle now.

"From last night...I was experiencing a lot of emotions at once. I was so happy from winning the championship, then so angry at Arizona for what she did, but also sad that you didn't tell me. So I drank. A lot. Which I know I shouldn't have. Because we were supposed to celebrate and have a good time together last night and I ruined it with my stupid behavior." Maya groaned as she lightly tapped her head against the headboard.

"Baby, you aren't stupid. Remember when Charlotte kissed you? I did the same exact thing as what you did. I assumed the worst and went out drinking my pain away. We are more alike than you think." Carina smiled. "We should talk about what happened though." Carina said as she gave another bite of a waffle to Maya.

"Yum." Maya said as she chewed. "And you are right, I know we need to talk about it, we definitely do because I need the full story. But I need to shower first." Maya spoke. Carina offered another bite to Maya, "Ugh, no more. I think I might puke again if I do." Maya said disgustingly.

"Baby you had like 3 bites, you need food. Open up." Carina demanded. Maya groaned then took another bite.

"Thank you for taking care of me by the way. I'm sorry I was probably such a mess last night." Maya said.

"I'm always going to take care of you Maya. Even when you are really mad at me. But I can't lie, you are pretty funny when you are drunk. It can be quite amusing." Carina chuckled.

"Oh god...I'm sorry." Maya sighed. "But I really need to shower, I feel disgusting." Maya spoke as she got up, taking the bed sheet with her to go to the bathroom.

Maya showered and threw on sweatpants and a baggy t shirt, waiting to get ready until they knew what their plans were for the day. Carina finished eating then set out the other plate for Maya to eat.

"Feel better?" Carina asked.

"Actually yes, a lot better." Maya responded as she was drying her wet hair with a towel.
