When Worlds Collide

Chapter 24

It was Friday morning and Maya was laying in bed with Carina, waiting for her love to wake up. The blonde stared at her girlfriend in awe. Her cute little features, the freckle below her lip, and her sharp jawline made the blonde mesmerized. She was stroking Carina's cheeks with both of her hands.

"Happy Valentine's Day, baby." Maya said as Carina opened up her eyes from a deep slumber. She kissed the brunettes nose gently.

"Mhmm, good morning love, and Happy Valentine's Day." Carina groaned as she stretched. Carina then nuzzled into Maya's neck, putting her arms around the blondes fit torso.

"Hmmm. You feel so warm and cozy. I just want to skip work today and stay here all day." Carina mumbled against Maya's neck.

"Me too love, but we have to go to work. At least it's Friday and we have the whole weekend to do that." Maya spoke softly.

"I guess that's true, but I still want to skip." Carina responded.

"I know. I'm sorry we can't celebrate Valentine's Day tonight much since I have a game tonight. It's our last seasonal game and then playoffs start next week to go to state." Maya spoke.

"It's okay. Like you said, we have the whole weekend together and we can celebrate then. There's no place I would rather be tonight than watching you coach, looking all sexy and serious." Carina said as she pulled away slightly to look into Maya's blue eyes. "God you are so beautiful."

"Psh, you are the beautiful one. Come here." Maya said as she leaned in to kiss Carina.

"No!! Morning breath!" Carina yelled as she hid under the comforter.

"I feel like we go through this every morning! For the millionth time I said I don't care!" Maya laughed as she flopped on top of Carina and tried tickling her so that she would let go of the comforter that was hiding her face.

"M-Maya! S-stop it!" Carina laughed uncontrollably. She finally let go of the blanket and Maya was able to pull it down to pepper kisses all over Carina's face. "Fine fine! You win, again."

"That's what I thought." Maya smirked as she placed a small peck on Carina's lips. "We have to get ready for work, we're both already late." Maya pecked Carina's lips again before jumping off of her and going to the bathroom to shower.

"Well wait for me!" Carina laughed as she crawled out of the bed to join her love.

The buzzer went off and the Wolves won 56-29, dominating their opponents. The regular season is now over, and they are 18-1 on the season. They officially won conference champs, so they were awarded T shirts and hats right after the game ended that said "Conference Champions". Playoffs were next week, and it was going to be the most intense week since it's their ticket to state.

"Congrats bambina!!" Carina said as she ran towards her sexy lover and gave her a tight hug. She kissed the coaches cheeks repeatedly. "Muah muah muah!"

"Thanks baby. I wouldn't have been able to do any of this without you, ya know that?" Maya said with the biggest smile on her face.

"Hey! Awesome job Maya!" Someone said as the two lovebirds were lost in a moment together. They turned their heads and saw it was Callie and Arizona.

"Oh thank you so much." Maya smiled softly, not wanting any of this to be awkward. Arizona looked at Carina.

"Hi." Arizona said quietly.

"Hey." Carina said quickly back. There was an awkward silence until Maya spoke up.

"Oh shoot I forgot to tell you guys. I found a couple houses to show you guys and there's one in particular that has everything you are looking for. I was wondering if Monday after you guys are done with work I could show it to you?" Maya asked.
