"C'mon (Y/N) it'll be fun, I promise." Nami pleaded as she gave you her best puppy dog eyes. She was currently trying to convince you to go to a party with her later tonight. It was being hosted by your guys friends Luffy, well more like his older brother Ace.
Luffy loved to spend time with his friends, while Ace found any way to turn those hangouts into a party. It was safe to say that Luffy (Ace) had a party just about every month.
"I went to the last one, besides I have math homework." You replied while pulling the needed textbooks out of your locker. It was the end of the school day and a Friday too, you had two days to do homework and sleep in.
"I'm good with numbers, I'll help you with your math. Just come to the party." Nami whined as she followed you out of the school. Her offer did sound nice, Nami was very good at math, it was probably because of her money hungry nature.
"Fine, but you promise to help with my homework?" You asked as you fished your car keys out of your bag.
"I promise. I'll get you at eight!" Nami called over her shoulder as she made her way into the parking lot looking for her older sister Nojiko.
"See ya' then." You shouted back before turning around, you bumped into someone sending your car keys falling out of your hand. "Sorry about that."
"It's fine, I wasn't paying attention." The stranger said, his long blond hair spilling over his shoulders as he bent over to pick up your keys. He stood up straight, his hand stretched out as he waited for you to take your keys back.
How the hell does he see?
You took your keys from hus hand, your eyes focused on his curtain of bangs. The blond locks came down to his nose, completely covering his eyes.
"Thanks." You watched as the stranger walked away, his blond hair swaying behind him. You couldn't help but wonder who he was, surely you would have noticed someone with such long hair. He looked to old to be a freshman, but you were a senior and have never seen him before.
You just continued on to your car, you tossed your bag into the back seat and started up your car. The car made a few sputtering noises before purring like normal. You really needed to get it fixed, but you lacked the funds to do so, so your car would just have to remain a clanking piece of junk.
You stopped to get some gas and pick up your grandma's prescription from the pharmacy. You lived with your parents and older brother at your grandma's house. Your dad got into an accident at work a year ago and couldn't work, your mom's salary wasn't enough to keep up with all the bills. So your grandma suggested you all move in with her, luckily she had enough room for all four of you.
"I'm home." You called out as you stepped through the front door. You walked into the kitchen, setting your grandma's medicine down on the counter. Nobody responded to you, so you assumed they couldn't hear you or no one was home. You went down the hall to the stairs that led to the basement were your's and your brother's rooms were.
"Hey twerp." Your older brother Chris greeted you as he stepped out of his room. He was dressed in his security guard uniform, he was a night guard that rotated through a few different office buildings.
"Hey, isn't it a bit early for you to be heading to work?" You checked your phone it was barely 4p.m.
"My coworker called in sick, so I'm covering his shift. Mom's at work, dad's at his appointment, and grandma is out playing bingo. So you have the place to yourself for a bit." Chris snagged your car keys from you, his car was in the shop so he's been borrowing yours.
"Actually I'm going to a party at Luffy's tonight." You told your brother.
"Oh, do you need your car?" Chris stopped on his way to the stairs. If need be your brother would give up the use of your car and take the bus if it meant you would get to your destination safely.
"Nami is picking me up, have a good time at work." You called over your shoulder as you walked into your room.
"Okay, just stay at Luffy's place if Nami ends up drunk. And stay safe!" Chris yelled back, he rushed up the stairs, the sound of the door slamming let you know that he had left.
You shut your bedroom door behind you, tossing your bag next your bed before flopping onto it's plush sheets. You stayed face first in your pillow for a few minutes, you rolled onto your back and stared at the ceiling. You didn't want to move, but you figured you'd shower and get a head start on your homework before getting ready for the party.
You grabbed your from the closet and made your way into the bathroom. You started the shower up while you slipped out of your clothes. A content sigh left your lips as you stepped under the hot water. You enjoyed the water relaxing your muscles before you grabbed your loofah and lathered it up with some body wash. You kept your shower short, scrubbing yourself clean, you turned the water off and wrapped yourself up in a towel. You dried yourself off and slipped into your robe.
You headed back into your room and started working on your homework. You heard come back at some point but he went straight to his room without saying anything.
You checked your phone and saw rhat it was 6:45p.m. so you decided to get ready. It was early October, so it wasn't too cold out, but it did get pretty nippy at night. So you decided on a pair of faded blue ripped jeans, a black long sleeved crop top, and a red flannel to go over top of it. You kept your makeup fairly simple, doing winged eyeliner, adding some highlighter and blush to your cheeks and gloss to your lips.
You tossed your hair into a bun, last time you left it down at a party a very drunk Ace started chewing on it. By the time you were done you had ten minutes to spare until Nami picked you up. You tossed on a pair of red converse and went to see if your dad needed anything before you left.
"Dad, you up?" You knocked on his bedroom door softy, if he was sleeping you didn't want to wake him.
"Yes, did you need something pumpkin?" Your dad croaked from the other side of the door. He was starting to sound and look worst each day, but he always insisted that he was fine.
"I'm going to a party at Luffy's place, Nami's gonna get me soon. I was just checking if you need anything before I left." You said while entering your parents room. Your dad was laying in the middle of his bed, blankets pushed aside and fan pointing at him.
"Just a glass of water if you don't mind." Your father rasped, you nodded your head and quickly went to get him some water.
"Need anything else?" You asked when you returned to the room, you sat the cup on the night stand so you could help your father sit up.
"No, now stop fussing over me and go enjoy your party." Your father said as he feebly pushed you towards the door.
"I wasn't fussing, anyways grandma will be home soon. See ya' later." You called over your shoulder, you closed the bedroom door behind you and headed outside.
Nami was pulling up to your house just as you stepped out the front door. You walked over to her car and hopped into the front seat.
"You ready to party?" Nami asked as she pulled away from the curb.
"You know it."
