Life SUCKS.

All I ever wanted.

    The exam went well and has expected we both passed. I enjoyed myself alot in Joseph house. His parents are so nice. Everyone likes me. We're currently sorting out our passport and Visa's. Yes we both passed and we're going to Florida. My mum has never been happier. I felt victorious. Ella kept on praising me over and over again. And I'm glad she is finally happy about something.

    Sofia left last week to London but we all promised to keep in touch. Joseph has indeed been a blessing to all of us and I'm indeed happy. We will be leaving for Florida the day after.
     "Treasure", Joseph called. We're currently in his house in his swimming pool. He thought me how to swim months back.
     "Hmmm", I answered splashing  the water all over with my feets.
     "Look at me", I turned and he was starring at me so deeply.
     "I like you", I wasn't expecting him to say it but it felt good hearing it.
    "I like you too", I replied looking at him.
    He chuckled. "Not as a friend nor a bestfriend. The feeling is more intense", he said and moved closer to me.
      "I know, I mean it's obvious. And me too, I feel the same way". I said and held his hand. He looked at my hand and entangled his fingers with mine. He looked up at me and immediately I looked away.
     "Someone is shy", he said and smiled.
      "Hmmm".
   "Look at me Treasure".
"No, leave me alone". I replied and jumped into the swimming pool and started swimming. But Joseph also jumped in and caught up with me as always. He held me firmly and made me look at him.

    "Joseph I like you. But I'm not ready for another relationship. It can wait. I only want to become a graduate and then become successful. I'm sorry. I'm not saying no to you. It's only for the mean time. I only want to focus on my education". I said trying to read his expression.
      "I know Treasure. Who said I'm asking you out? I'm not ready either. And I'm willing to wait till whenever you're. You mean alot to me and I'm so glad you feel the same". He said and moved closer to me.
    "Thanks for understanding", I replied and smiled at him.
    "Can I kiss you atleast?"
  "What did you say?"
    "What did you hear Treasure?"
    "You have to catch me first to do that". And I pushed him with all the strength I could muster and ran out of the pool. And he chased after me, calling out my name.

  TEN YEARS LATER
   
      We just returned from America. And we're home with everyone. I have missed them all so much. I'm five months gone. Yes I'm pregnant. I and Joseph started dating 7yrs back and he proposed a year back. We had a white wedding and my father-in-law made it easy for all my family members to come to America for my wedding. I'm now a successful lawyer and Joseph a business man. He was an art student in secondary school but changed his line of education. He said he would love to take over from his father some day and that's why we're back in Nigeria. His father has decided to retire and hand over the companies to him.

     Sofia got married three years ago to a British man. They only have a child. Their daughter is so beautiful and she looks so much like Sofia. I have a niece and nephew. Yes, Ella's kids. They're turning 10 soon. Ella isn't their biological mother. She is actually their step mother. Dayo died in the labour room. And ever since then, Ella has been taking good care of them. John said he is so happy to see her smile after so long. She has been a very good mother and wife. She doesn't spoil them either. She punishes them when they're wrong and praises them when they're right.

    I hope I will be a good mother like her to my unborn child. Joseph looked at me and smiled. Walked over to me and pecked me. "What are you thinking of Treasure".
      "Just my life in general. How it's so perfect. I have the perfect man. My sister is happy. My mum is happy. My brother is schooling abroad. And my best friends are still with me. Everything is all worth it. I don't know what you saw in me but thankyou so much for everything".

      "Stop it,I saw a wife in you. Since the day you were introduced as a scholarship student. I saw it in you and still see it in you. I love you so much. You're very beautiful and I'm so lucky. Thankyou so much for being my woman. And very soon I will have an angel that looks just like you", he said touching my baby bump.

    I looked at him and smiled. This is all I ever wanted.
