Chapter 1- where the hell am I?

-Haruka's POV-

"Haru... Are you really sure you'll be fine by yourself? " I sighed and faced my twin "look I know you're worried Hiro you're my brother who looks exactly like me." I put a joke so he won't worry too much "I gotta go... give this to Kil once he wakes up so he'll know. And take care of yourselves okay" before I could even sneak out from the window I was tackled with a very tight hug from Hiroto, I sighed and hugged back. " Take care okay I won't forgive you if you die" I chuckled and headed out.

It wasn't hard getting out since we own the place, but I want to get out of here as soon as possible. I have my favourite skateboard with me so when I hit the road I won't walk. The good part of my skateboard was that, whatever you do, it won't break. I heard something from behind me, good thing I can see from the dark. I ran and jumped our 10ft tall gateway. Once I landed to the ground I used my skateboard to get as far away as possible. "Good riddance. I will miss you, Hiro,Kil." I said while looking forward and went into the alley, there was someone there so I walked past them calmly and quietly.

I turned to a corner and suddenly I saw a very bright light then all I saw was black.

-Third person's POV-

an old man wearing white robes and a hat was taking a stroll around his village. But suddenly a large bolt of lightning struck the ground, close to where his office was. A group of masked men went to where the lightning had struck and saw a girl probably 12 years of age, laying unconscious on the ground. Soon the old man came and saw the girl and told the masked men to take her to the hospital.

-Haruka's POV-

"urgh" I have a major headache today ' wait am I caught? But how did they know?!' I sat up and saw that I was not in the solitary confinement room or should I say the torture room, but instead I was inside a white room that I confirmed to be a hospital room. "The faq?" I asked out loud " where the hell am I?" I stood up and saw that I was not wearing my usual clothes but an hospital gown, I saw them on a side table and started to change.

" Now that feels better... Now where is my things?" I stopped momentarily when I sensed someone behind the door. " who's there?!" I asked and then an old man emerged from the door with a guy with scars on his face. " Good to see you awake" " who are you?" I asked and I guess I ticked scar face cause he's said " you insolent child! show some respect to the Hokage" I raised an eyebrow " I'm sorry I'm confused. The who-what now?" I didn't get it. " The hokage! He is the leader of this village!" scar face said I just hummed and started looking for my things. " may I know your name child? " I shrugged " Shinigami Haruka, what's yours? " I asked not looking at them. He chuckled and said "Sarutobi Hiruzen and this here is Morino Ibiki" "okay so can I have my things now I'm kinda on a run" I said noticing Ibiki's narrowed eyes of suspicion " why are you on the run?" I scoffed and said "because I ran away from home what else do you think?" " and why did you run away?" " what is this interrogation? mind your own business!"

Hiruzen cleared his throat to get our attention- which it did- and told us to go to his office. I sighed and followed them out of the hospital and to his office. I looked around and noticed that the houses looked weird, and there were people jumping from roof to roof, like ninjas! " Hey Ibiki. Why don't you guys capture those thieves that are jumping from roof to roof like you don't even care? " I asked wanting answers for my curiosity, he glanced at me for a second and said " those are not thieves, they are ninjas from our village that came back from a mission" " wait! Those are ninjas?! You guys have ninjas here?! cool!" I said looking for more ninjas and then we entered a Tower and went in. There I saw ninjas all over the place!I noticed that they have the same kind of vest, like it's their uniform or something. We reached the room and went inside, " so let's start,Haruka, please answer our questions honestly okay? " Hiruzen asked I sighed but agreed nonetheless " who were you running away from?" " my parents, well my mother to be exact" " why did you run away?" I don't know why, but I got mad all of a sudden " because I'm sick of being forced to kill people! I want to be a normal kid for once! Not a killing machine! I never wanted to be an assassin in the first place! But they keep giving me assignments and would punish me for being disobedient! I hate my life!... I never had fun... I never had a friend that lives... because every time I do they would kill them" my voice became softer by the end of my rant. I looked at their shocked faces and stood up " its okay if you want me locked up" I started to walk out but the was stopped by Hiruzen himself " we won't lock you up Haruka" I looked at him dead in the eyes void of emotion that made them flinch " but I'm an assassin, would you take the risk of an assassin living in your precious village?" I said still not giving any emotion.

He shocked me by giving me a genuine smile "you are just forced to do it child. You have the right to change your path anytime." " and if the hokage says so then you are welcome to stay in the village. But remember that we will keep an eye on you." I smiled at them and accepted their offer for me to stay " but before anything else where are my things?"
