Turning a new leaf

Chapter 21- A long day

-Haruka's POV-

As I walked the crowded and lively Streets of konoha, I thought about the information I gathered so far. I looked ahead determined to know what the otokage was planning with Sunagakure. "Ahh! Watch out!"I heard someone yell from afar, that was when I noticed a kid maybe around six running and was about to get hit by a cart with some sharp things in it. On instinct I ran, just in time to push him out of the way, I did the earth cage jutsu so that the sharp things won't fly off to random directions harming the civilians. When the clanking sounds ceased, I released the jutsu and sighed " Kotarou!" I saw a woman running towards the boy crushing him in a tight hug. I looked away at the scene and started to walk away, but before I got far I heard a faint 'thank you'.

"Haruka!!!" I turned around and spotted Kiba and the others. " What's up?" I asked as Akamaru started to attack me with kisses. " Well the team were planning on going to the Bath House and since you aren't with your team, the girls said it would be a nice idea to ask you out" he said scratching the back of his head, Akamaru barking in agreement. " Well okay...I don't think I have anything to do" " cool! Meet us at the hot springs later okay?" I nodded went home and got a change of clothes. When I got everything I needed, I headed to the Bath House easily spotting team 8. " Thanks for inviting me" I said snatching Akamaru from Kiba "Akamaru is coming with us" " what?! No fair!" The rest of us laughed as I gave Akamaru back.

- Time skip after stripping into a bathing suit-

" So Haruka, why we're you really in the hokage's office?" Kurenai asked Hinata listening "I was searching for some information on the sound village" " why?" I sighed and shook my head " I'll tell everyone everything I know when I confirmed my suspicions" she looked at me seriously but let it go when I shook my head. It was silent after that, so I decided to break the ice. " Hey Kiba! Can I have Akamaru?" I heard a soft 'why' so I answered " cause he loves me more!" " What?! Never! You can have Shino if you want!" I heard him say " okay then! Shino go out with me!" I heard gasps and looked at Hinata and Kurenai. " What?" They shook their heads " you asked Shino out" " yeah so? There's nothing wrong with it, it's just to know him better" I said dunking my head into the water.

- Third POV-

When those words left Haruka's mouth a certain boy was turning red, the Inuzuka had no idea why, but he guessed that it was because of the words the girl said. Oh how wrong he was. Soon a swarm of bugs started to spread out of Shino's body "ah! Shino! If you had enough you should've gotten out already!" Kiba yelled as he tried to pull Shino out of the hot spring. After successfully pulling the fainted boy out he started to wake him up.

- Time skip-

Shino was waiting outside of the Bath House, he wanted to confirm Haruka's words cause let's face it, no one barely notices him. " Who're you waiting for?" Shino jumped at the sudden voice and looked around to see Haruka with her hands inside her pockets. ' When did she?' He cleared his throat to composed himself " you actually... I wanted to clarify what you said earlier" he said fixing his glasses in the process. " Oh I just want to know you better. Since the only thing I know from you is that your really quiet, and that doesn't help me with anything" she replied shrugging her shoulders. "I see, then I would like to invite you to dinner with my family later. Well be expecting you" Shino said before walking away.

-Haruka's POV-

I hummed while I stretched my arms upward ' that was refreshing!' I was currently heading to the training grounds when I smelt the aroma of delicious okonomiyaki. I bought 4 boxes and ate it, I gave a satisfying burp when I finished all four boxes filled with okonomiyaki. I walk to the middle of the training ground and sat crisscrossed, I thought about meditating so it can help me think straight.
