Turning a new leaf

Chapter 11- missions

-Haruka's POV-

Okay so yesterday Kakashi said we'd go to our first mission, and that mission was pulling weeds that was easy, but then Naruto decided to pull the plants as well, so of course it ended up ruining the garden. The 'client' as they call them was about to punch Naruto upside the head when I intervened " um ma'am, I can fix your garden if that will make it better" " but look at this! The plants are dead! You won't be able to fix this!" The client flailed. I sighed " no they're still alive they're still attached to the roots so it's fine. So can I borrow your gardening materials, so they'll live?" I asked inspecting the damage, the lady went to get the materials and handed it to me. I put on the the gloves and started in silence " um... Haruka-san... Are you sure you can fix it?" Sakura asked and I just nodded my head, after re-planting I watered them and took a long look at my work. It was beautiful if I say so myself, and when the lady looked at her garden, she was so shocked that she hugged me. And let me tell you this, I'm not really good at responding to hugs, so it was awkward. The time we were walking to the hokage tower, Sakura asked me a very nostalgic question " where did you learn to plant like that? It was so beautiful like you've done it in a million times!" " Thanks for the compliment. I learned those kind of things from my butlers when I didn't have something to do, or when I wasn't assassinating people" I mumbled the last part to myself so no one heard. But I guess I was wrong, Sasuke turned to look at me so he probably heard me.

The next mission we got was babysitting three brats and a baby, so we split up and I took care of the baby XD ' I'm so caring.'  Everyone got their own brats and entertained them. But unfortunately they wanted to play with Naruto more, and I feel bad for him cause he was being tortured. I went to help him, released him from his bonds. He chased the kids all over the room while the kids were yelling, the worst part was that the baby woke up. Sakura tried everything she could do but the baby was still crying " give her to me" I said while giving the three brats a glare that shut them up "o-okay..." she said lowering her head, I sighed and started to sing a lullaby. after that we left it to their mother. Our next mission was to walk the dogs which is very easy for me cause taming something is as easy as pie, just give them a glare and you got it. For Naruto it was a different story The dog he chose dragged him to a mine and things I forgot since I'm laughing my butt off.

The next day was capturing the lost cat Tora-chan,and currently we are chasing it, to be more precise they were chasing it while I was just sitting on a branch relaxing. " Alright are you guys ready?" Kakashi asked from the transmitter "Sakura on point A I'm ready" " point B ready" I waited for Naruto to say something " point C I'm ready believe it!" " You're too slow Naruto" I chuckled " point D ready to fall asleep" I said lazily with a yawn. I could hear them sweatdrop and shrugged, I'm being lazy today. "Capturing lost cat Tora complete" I heard Sasuke say then jumped down from my spot of the tree " where have you been! "Sakura screeched I yawned and popped a candy to my mouth.

Team 7 was inside the old man's office reporting our misson " your next mission would be babysitting the feudal Lord's grandson, pulling potatoes an--" he was cut off by Naruto doing the 'x' with his arms saying " NO NO NO! WE WANT A BETTER MISSION NOT THESE BABY MISSIONS! GIVE US A BETTER ONE! " I sat down knowing this would take long and popped a candy in my mouth. Iruka and the hokage started to lecture Naruto about ranks, but then Naruto's story about his ramen was more interesting. Even Kakashi was listening to him! " SILENCE! " ' guess being old means that if they're saying something you should only listen to half of it. But grandpa wasn't like that... was he?' I thought to myself listening to Naruto's speech " I'm not the kid that pull pranks anymore I'm a ninja now! And I want a better mission! Believe it!" I smiled, Naruto's catchphrase is really catchy " alright then. Naruto said he's not a child anymore and wants a better mission, so be it. Iruka kindly give team 7 a C- rank mission" the hokage said smoking his pipe. " You will excort someone" he said.

' There's a catch in this' I thought to myself " who is it? Is it a Princess?! A feudal Lord?!" I shook my head at him we won't get a client like that its only a C-rank. I sighed when I caught a smell of alcohol,I heard a 'come in' from the old man and the door swung open revealing a drunk old man that had something like a rope tired around his head. " What?! These kids are supposed to protect me?! Especially the short one with the stupid face" Naruto laughed " who's the short one with the stupid face?" He asked, we fall in line Sasuke was the tallest, I was only 2 inches shorter, 'your just two inches taller than me Sasuke, but that doesn't mean I'm short' then Sakura and lastly Naruto. When he realized that the old man was referring to him he fumed. " I'M GONNA KILL YOU!!!" he was held back by Kakashi " we don't kill our clients Naruto, it just doesn't work that way"

" My name is Tazuna a master bridge builder. You should protect me with your life" he said taking a swing of alcohol in his system. " Alright team, pack your things and meet me at the gate in 10" Kakashi instructed then poofed away.

I went home to pack, I got three pairs of shirts and shorts, underwear ' its essential', weapons water bottles four extra yo yos just in case I may lose my current yo yo. I checked everything and added my candy bags and also some seeds in case I want to drink tea. (A/N: remember when she bought the flower candy? Yeah that should ring a bell. She still have those candies) I stood up and walked out of the house and went to our meeting place.

When I got there I wasn't greeted by a' you're late' which was unusual. Naruto was looking excited, Sakura was impressing the ducky,and the ducky was ignoring Sakura and the others. I popped a candy in my mouth and waited for our sensei, when he arrived he wasn't two hours late just two minutes, ' well I guess he only comes late on boring missions' I thought to myself as I heard Sakura ask something to Naruto " why are you so excited Naruto?" The boy in question grinned " because it's my first time out of the village, dattebayo!" (A/N: okay so I might use ' belive it' or 'dattebayo' if I feel like it's right)

" Leave him be, Sakura, there's a first time for everything" I said " are you sure I'm safe with these kids?" I heard Tazuna asked,I smirked " don't worry we have a jounin in our side. Besides he's the future hokage so you don't have to worry about anything" I said looking back from my shoulder. I walked beside Sasuke when Sakura started to ask some questions to Kakashi and the old man, I listened to them only half way when I noticed a puddle on our way and ignored it. The moment we past the said puddle, chains attached themselves to Kakashi and chopped him in pieces. Now this is a mission
