Chapter 19- back in konoha

-Haruka's POV-

"Ne, Neji.... Are we there yet?" " Not yet" I sighed, they were currently walking in a forest I say they because Sai was giving me a piggy back ride. Stop looking at me like that, I'm being lazy right now. ' I'm gonna get an earful later from the team... I hope I'm wrong' I sighed once again. " What ever is the matter?" I buried my face in the crook of his neck, "I just need to prepare myself for my team. I'm sure they haven't heard of my mission yet, and I also need something to bribe them with asap" I said closing my eyes. " Then why don't you come in our compound?" I looked up at Neji and thought about it. ' Well I could, but I might be intruding but if I don't i'm gonna need to deal with the team... hmm what to do?' I opened my eyes and nodded to him " but if I'm intruding I'm gonna leave okay" once he nodded I resumed my previous position.

- time skip of the dead-

" I knew you could do it. " Gramps said smiling at us, " by the way Haruka, why are you being carried?" " I'm being lazy today... besides even if you order Sai to put me down I'm just gonna be carried by Neji later" I said shrugging my shoulders. He chuckled and dismissed us "I hope we see each other again" Sai said walking away " see ya Sai" I waved at him then faced Neji. He led me to the Hyuuga compound, and the moment I stepped inside I felt a little suffocated. ' This place has a super tense atmosphere! How can he live here?!' I thought to myself staring at Neji's back. " Wait here. I need to inform Hiashi-sama that you'll be staying" I nodded but before he could take another step " just say that I'll just be staying for lunch alright?" He nodded and walked away. I sighed and waited, and got bored. Hey I get bored easily so I played my yo yo but this time using both of them, I heard some footsteps approaching behind me and turned around only to see Neji and who I guessed as Hiashi. " It's an honour to meet you Hiashi-sama" I said hiding my yo yo in my pockets, and bowing a little bit. I can be respectful when I need to, " like wise, I heard from Neji that you'll be staying for lunch? " I nodded " if you don't mind Sir" ' Kami! I'm being too respectful!' " of course, I don't mind. I did want to meet the person who defeated Neji twice" he said a little amusement glinting in his eyes. I snickered at that and looked at Neji who was all red either from anger or embarrassment.

They led me inside, and let me inform you this.... THIS PLACE IS FREAKING HUGE! If it weren't for these two I'm probably lost right now or maybe some of the clan members would think I'm a spy or something. "H-Haruka-san?" My ears twitched at the voice and my face turned into a cat face. "Hina-chan!" I faced her and patted her head, " it's been a while Hina-chan! How's your team doing? How's Akamaru? Have you been with Naruto lately? Are you eating properly? How's life? Friends? Team? Family? " I asked continously, she's so cute when she blushes. "T- teams ok, Akamaru m-misses you s-sometimes, I-I've been g-good." I smiled, at least she's improving in stuttering. "Hinata, do you know her?" Hiashi asked and she nodded "s-she's my c- classmate i-in the a-academy" she said quietly.

After that me and Hinata chatted on random things. " So Shinigami-san how was your mission with Neji in the sand village?" Hiashi asked pausing his eating for a moment. Hinata looked at me with a raised eyebrow as if saying ' What's he talking about?' I shrugged and replied " it was great! I met with my brothers there, spar with my twin, battled some rogues who wanted the scroll, and hung out with Neji but aside from that it was quite boring" " Yes quite, but if I remember correctly you destroyed one of Suna's training grounds" Neji interjected which earned shocked faces from the clan members. " That's so cool! How did you do it Shinigami-san?" Hanabi, Hinata's little sister asked I sighed and have a deadly glare to Neji " I'm not the only one who is involved in that, my twin brother and I were sparing and it had been a long time, and we got a little carried away in it and yeah that happened" I said scratching my head sheepishly " carried away? But you said at that time was ' You should get used to it. We don't use our real power when we fight each other' am I right" a tick mark appeared when he smirked. " Then you must be really strong Shinigami-san. I would like to see you fight someday, maybe at the chuunin exams when your sensei recommend you" Hiashi said " wait the chuunin exams? Isn't that the exam which can promote your rank? I read those in books but never really thought about it, can you explain it a little more?" He explained the concept of the chuunin exams which only allows a three man cell. I sighed "w-what's the matter H-Haruka-san?" I shook my head "I was just wondering what I'm gonna do if the chuunin exams do take place." "W-what d-do you mean?" I chuckled " don't you remember? I'm a part of a four man cell. I don't think I can participate, because I want Naruto's dream to come true cause let's face it, he's like a brother to me. A knuckle headed brother... I want Sakura to learn to fight for herself and for the team, I also want Sasuke to know that he's already getting stronger with the team." I said looking at the ground in thought. After that talk we finished lunch, Hinata led me to the compound fish pond. I licked my lips when I spotted some koi fish, "H-Haruka-san y-you shouldn't!" I raised my hands in defense. " I'm just kidding, calm down. Ne Hinata, what do you think I should do about the chuunin exams? Go with another team? Or participate next time?" She thought about it for a moment "y-you should p- probably ask y-your sensei or m-maybe t-the hokage" I nodded and said my goodbye.
