Chapter 17- Date and Reunion

-Haruka's POV-

So after our B rank mission in the waves we got some days rest, I was outside training with my ninjutsus when I felt his presence. I sighed and faced to where he was " what now Neji?" He stepped out with a blush on his face. I raised an eyebrow, I heard from Tenten- Yes I talk to her sometimes- that he's a stoic kind of guy and from the word stoic they don't blush. I just stared at him and waited for a response, he cleared his throat and walked towards me. He looked me in the eye, and I think I know where this is going "go out with me." 'I knew it' I thought to myself and just nodded. We'll just hang out and nothing else,I saw his eye twitch " what? We're you expecting me to reject your offer? Okay then, so no" I said looking at him in the eye with a bored look. He shook his head " I'll pick you up tomorrow at 9" he mumbled but I clearly heard him so I just nodded again. ' Now let's get this jutsu done'

- behind h he scenes-
"I knew this would happen sooner or later!" Tenten said to her companion. The boy in question nodded frantically " the power of youth is radiating within him!" Tenten sweat dropped but let it go.

- the next day-

I woke up early today, I did my morning rituals and checked the time it was still 7:30 so I still have time before hanging out with Neji. I went to the closet and sweat dropped I don't have any other clothes to wear, because Let's face it I have identical clothes. ' I think I need to shop' I ran to the nearest clothing shop and picked a simple sleeveless black shirt, gray jeans and a simple 3/4 blazer that reached till my elbow.

After that I ran back home and took a shower, I went out and changed. I added the black fingerless gloves and put my pendant on. I looked at the clock and saw that it was already 8:30, I shrugged and sat on the couch and began to read a book that I bought the other day. It was a good book actually, it was called "Demon's activity 101" (A/N: I do not own this book I just read it and it was fantastic! I also love this book so yeah...) it was about a school which had mysterious and brutal killings. I haven't finished the book yet, but so far its great. I felt Neji's presence and sighed, I marked the page where I was reading and answered the door.

" nice outfit, it suits you well" I said as I saw him in his white polo shirt with some brown highlights at the bottom, and plain brown pants. " you should dress up more often. I never see you wearing a different set of clothes" I felt my eye twitch and sighed, I closed the door and locked it. At first we were quiet until I got a little bored " Hey what kind of books do you read?" He looked at me for a moment then looked away " mystery and suspense. Why do you ask?" (A/N:I just made that up XD)I hummed pouring my hands on my pockets " because it's too quiet.... so what are going to do today?" I asked and he smirked, he took my hand and led me to a lake. It was beautiful if I may say so myself, the lake was crystal clear and there we some surrounding flowers there too, All in all it was breathtaking.

"I didn't know there was a place like this... It's so relaxing here" I said as I stated at the lake. He chuckled and sat down beside me, " my father used to take us here with my mother to have a picnic when I was still young" he said lying down on his back " your still young though... Your father must be a nice guy" I heard him say 'yeah' in response. The scenery was so relaxing that I feel asleep.

-Neji's POV-

I can't believe I asked her out! I mean Yes she's strong and quite beautiful but I have no idea what came into me! We were now lying on our backs at the lake where the family used to go on picnics, it has become quiet, I looked to my side and see that she fell asleep. ' She really is beautiful' I mentally smacked myself for thinking that,I sighed I was debating on whether to wake her up or just let her sleep.

I heard a groan and looked at Haruka- yes I know her name- who was waking up. "I thought I would have to wake you up. Guess I don't need to" I said while she was still rubbing her eyes out of sleep, I had to admit that was cute. My face heated when I realized what I just thought, " Hey Neji are you alright? Your turning red" I looked away and stood up, I started to walk away knowing full well that she will follow. " Where are we going now?" She asked with a yawn when she finally caught up. I smiled slightly at her childishness, " where we are going is a secret for you to find out" I said taking her hand in mine again, it felt warm in mine and I didn't seem to want to let go.
