Chapter 15- because were friends

-Haruka's POV-

We went to Tazuna's house and ate breakfast. After that Sakura and I went to guard Tazuna while he was building the bridge. This lasted long and let me tell you this, I'm not a patient person, so I helped them a little bit cause I'm not skilled in constricting things so I just carry things here and there, just so I have something to do.

" Thanks for the help kids, but aren't you supposed to train with those boys?" Sakura boasted while I shrugged " well anyway, the bridge is almost done. Without your guys help the wave country would forever live in fear" Tazuna said smiling gratefully. " You don't really have to thank us we're just doing what we can do." I said looking in the sky,  I narrowed my eyes. I felt something coming, I ran to Tazuna and pushed him down, just in time to avoid an arrow. "Haruka-san! Tazuna-san! Are you two alright?!" I dusted myself and lend a hand to Tazuna who was still on the ground. I was on full alert when I felt another coming, this time it was aimed for Sakura. ' it would be too late if I push them out of the way! '

-Sakura's POV-

I was shocked when an arrow suddenly came out from nowhere! I didn't know what to do in situations like these, but I have to be brave! I was guarding Tazuna when I saw Haruka running in front of me. I had no idea what happened but I soon realized when she fell. ' SHE TOOK THE SHOT?! IS SHE CRAZY?!' I shook my head "Tazuna-san! Please help me carry her back to your house! She needs medical attention immediately! " I practically shouted in panic. We ran as fast as we could to get to his house and once we got there we were greeted by gasps. "TSUNAMI-SAN! HELP US PLEASE!!" I was in tears by now, ' what if doesn't make it? It would be all my fault' I began to sob as Tsunami-san said that she would need us outside.

"Sakura? You guys are home early, something wrong?" I heard sensei ask "w-we were a-attacked earlier a-at t-the b-bridge but then Har-ruka t-took the s-shot f-for us!"I managed to say between sobs. I could feel sensei tense at the information I gave him, but I couldn't care less. I was worried for Haruka right now and I can't even do anything to help! " It's not your fault Sakura, you did the best you can to bringing her here and it's more than enough help" I looked at Kakashi-sensei who gave me a closed eye smile . I smiled in return but I couldn't stop worrying about Haruka.

I was inside mine and Haruka's shared room. She was still unconscious,Tsunami-san said she'll be okay cause the blow wasn't fatal. " I'm so sorry Haruka" I said tears forming from the edges of my eyes, " I'm sorry I couldn't do any better" I said sobbing in my hands. I went to the dining area and saw that everyone was there "Hey Sakura-chan! Where's Haru-chan?" Naruto asked as I took my seat. I was about to answer but Kakashi-sensei cut me off " she's off to find the orphans in town to give them some food. She said she'll be a little late" I looked at sensei and he gave me that look that said 'don't tell them' so I pursed my lips.

After Dinner I went to our shared room but before I could enter Sasuke-kun stopped me " where is she Sakura? I know you know something" he said glaring at me. I stepped back a little " we were guarding Tazuna-san earlier, but then he needed to buy some things in the market. That's where we saw the orphans!  I swear! " I said not completely lying. He stares at me for a few moments then walked away, I sighed and entered our room then locked it. Instead of sleeping far away from each other, I decided to sleep beside her. I dragged my futon beside hers and laid down, I couldn't sleep yet so started at the ceiling.

" Why did you do that?" I asked no one in particular " that's because your a friend" I heard a hoarse voice say. My eyes widened and looked at Haruka who had her eyes open starting at the ceiling as well. "Haruka!" Without thinking I hugged her tight "S-Sakura..... a-air....." " I'm so sorry!" She chuckled, stood up and began to stretch. "Y-you shouldn't do that! You'll open up your wounds!" I whispered- yelled at her " don't worry is already healed " she said, lifting her bandages up to her lower chest. " Wait how can you heal so fast when you just got hit a few hours ago? " I asked in disbelief. She just shrugged and went downstairs, with me on her tail.

-Haruka's POV-

'Urgh... even though I already healed that hit really hurt! It's been a long time since I last got injured' I thought to myself as I went downstairs to eat. I was greeted by a shocked Tsunami, Tazuna, and a speechless Kakashi. I didn't really minded cause my stomach's making the rumblies... I need food.... I sat down the table and patiently waited to be given food. Once it arrived I gobbled it all up, I thanked them for the food and stood up. "Haruka are you sure you should be out of bed? Are you feeling better?" I heard Kakashi ask but when I shrugged he glared at me cause I could feel holes through my back. I sighed and just showed him my now healed wound, he inspected it and poked it a few times just to be sure and let it go. "Haruka when we get back to the village you are going to have a check up am I clear? Sakura go with her in case she run of to somewhere" he instructed to us which was rewarded a nod from both of us.

"Haruka? Where are you going?" Sakura asked as I positioned myself on the window "I need some fresh air I'll be right back" I said reassuring her that I'll be fine.

Once on the roof I saw ducky there. " Hey there emo-ducky-dino, can't sleep? " I said waving a little, he glared at me for the names but stayed silent. I sat down next to him when I remembered something. " Hey Sasuke you're an Uchiha right?" He just raised an eyebrow as if saying ' you didn't know?' I rolled my eyes " well are you or are you not?" He sighed and nodded and asked why "I wanted to know something, I was supposed to ask gramps but every time I go to him I forget so I wanted to ask, why is there so many Uchihas in the cemetery if you don't mind"

-Sasuke's POV-

" You actually don't know?" I asked when she asked that question when she shook her head no I sighted and told her about the Uchiha clan massacre. I don't know what sudenly came into me but I told her everything. I'm not a person who speaks of the past that easily, but with her it felt like I can tell her anything without her judging me.

After I finished telling her about the Uchiha clan we were quiet for some time. She surprised me by pulling me close to her in a hug, it felt comforting in some way but somehow there's a feeling in my stomach that I can't understand. " you've had it hard, you need a hug.... Look I may not know how you feel about your clan but at least I know how being betrayed feels like." She said while patting my head. I sighed, ' she's so easy to talk to... But what the hell am I thinking!?' 

" Why aren't you like those other girls from the village? After hearing this, I mean" I asked feeling a little drowsy. " Well first of all I'm not a fucking fan girl. Second is because we're friends. At least for me you are" she said shrugging her shoulders a bit.

-Haruka's POV-

I felt ducky go a little limp, and I assumed he was asleep so I let him.
