Chapter 22- getting a fever every once in a while

- Haruka's POV-

I groaned as I opened my eyes. I sat up only to regret it as a splitting migraine came, I groaned in pain. ' That's strange... I feel like crap right now... Don't tell me I have a fever' I thought as I searched for a thermometer, once I found it I checked my temperature which was unfortunately 38.9. I sighed and got ice from the freezer and put it in the ice pack I bought a few months ago ' never thought it'd be useful one day... Good thing I bought one' I thought as I put ice inside the ice pack. Once that was done I grabbed an apple and started to devuor it slowly, 'I rarely have fevers... wonder what happened? I didn't eat something weird, nor did I do something weird so why?' I sighed when I felt another headache. I laid down in bed again and moved the ice pack back in place, " maybe not moving too much will help" I muttered to myself as I closed my eyes but snapped it open when someone banged the door of my house. I groaned and walked to the door "Haru-chan! We have a mission today! We'll meet you by the bridge ttebayo" I heard Naruto's voice shout and then some soft thumping sound which means he left. I sighed and changed and grabbed another apple, I placed my forehead protector around my forearm and walked leisurely eating my apple.

" YOUR LATE!" I sighed for the fourth time today and ignored the team, I sat down and tried to rest soon I was in a dreamless slumber.

" You think... It's... Just wake..." I groaned " no need I'm awake" I said as I stood up, I gave them a glare when I felt another migraine. "Haruka you look a little paler today" Kakashi said concern plastered on his face " it's all in your head. So what's the mission about? " I said shrugging my shoulders. "W-Well we're pulling weeds... again" I nodded and walked ahead of them. Once we got there I started doing my portion of the job "Haru-chan, you're being slow today. What's wrong? Usually you'd be finished in your portion in a matter of seconds. Dattebayo" Naruto asked while I just shook my head in response, after weeding we walked out of the clients garden. That was when a hand was placed on my forehead " your burning up" duck butt stated, which was rewarded with a glare. "Haruka why didn't you tell us you had a fever? You should rest up for today. Have you had a check up yet?" I shook my head no, tired all of a sudden. " I'm okay I can handle it" I said but Naruto shook his head stubbornly " no! You Should be in the hospital ttebayo!" " I just need to take medicine from the hospital, not be bedridden" I replied weakly. " That's true, but you should at least rest for a while and get well sooner. Because the team's incomplete without you" I smiled at what Sakura said, so far it's the second time she said those kinds of things to me.

- Time skip after visiting the hospital-

I never knew medical ninjas were this great at healing people. I mean, I just went inside to take a check up like Kakashi told me to and next thing I know I'm partially healed! Well I still have a slight fever but the doctor said with a little rest, I'm as healthy as a crocodile.(lol XD) They also gave me medicine tablets for me to take once a day, I have to continue drinking it until it's all gone. 'I feel lighter when I'm not that sick anymore' I thought as I bought some fruits and some okonomiyaki then walked on home but then stopped as I felt some familiar presences. I ran to that direction and saw Konohamaru being held on his throat by Kankuro. I chuckled slightly " put him down Kankuro" I said and walked up to him "Haru-chan!/Haruka!" I fake sighed " what did you do now?" I asked grabbing Konohamaru from Kankuro's grip. " You should have stopped him Hiro" I said and glanced at where he was hiding. "I missed you Haru-chan! We have a lot of catching up to do--" he was cut off when a rock went past near his eyes and hit Kankuro's head. I looked up and saw duck butt acting cool and giving a deadly glare to Hiro. " Nee, Hiro want to try this okonomiyaki? It's really good" I whispered while Kankuro was picking a fight with duck butt, while Hiro and I ate the food I got "Kankuro! You are a disgrace to our village" a deadly voice said followed by a cute voice I knew too well "Haru-nee! I missed you soooooo much!" I opened my arms in a welcoming embrace but fell to the ground when Kil tackled me unexpectedly.

I wasn't paying attention to what everybody was saying until my brother's supposedly teammates started to leave. " Wait What's your name" duck butt Sasuke asked and Temari blushed and pointed to herself, " no the one with the gourd" Gaara as I recall turned around "Gaara of the Sand. I would also like to know yours" duck butt smirked but said his name nonetheless. " Let's go. That includes you Hiroto and Kilburn. Nice to see you again Shinigami Haruka-san" Gaara said I nodded while my brothers just shrugged him off "nah, we'll catch ya later I need some catching up to do" Hiro grinned and brought an arm across my shoulder. " Suit yourself" with that the sand siblings left. " Who are you?" someone asked while pulling me out of Hiro's arms. I looked up and saw duck butt and groaned, " oh how rude of me, my name is Shinigami Hiroto and this little guy is our little bro Shinigami Kilburn" he bowed mockingly. I heard gasps " your Haru-chan's twin brother?" Naruto asked, I smirked and had an idea. I fake gasped and looked at Hiro " we were twins? Why didn't mom told us that?" " I know right? I feel used" Hiro continued understanding my plan, " tricked" " betrayed" we said the last part in unison which gained sweat drops.

" Your younger brother is a genin already?!" Everyone asked shocked, I nodded my head. Then Sasuke smirked " your brother became genin at the age of six while you became one when you were twelve" I shrugged " well at least we all entered the ninja academy at the same time. So I guess it's not that shocking" I said patting Kil's head. " By the way Haru-chan, you should really rest now if you want to join the chuunin exams" with that Hiro turned to me " don't tell me you have a fever. I just had one the other day" I chucked and bid farewell to my teammates.

- time skip-

" So what happened to the Kazekage impostor?" I asked Hiro as I sat down on the couch( obviously). Both of them looked down and told me something shocking " he is planning on..."
