Turning a new leaf

Chapter 31- The Akatsuki

-Itachi's POV-

We arrived at the base and now inside of leader-sama's office. "We are ashamed to report that we couldn't capture the nine tail jinchuuriki. But we did got the girl you wanted" Kisame reported, and dropped the child on the floor. He nodded "good now tie her up, we don't want her running off" he said then dismissed us.

"Do you have any ideas on what leader wants to do with the girl?" I looked straight ahead not answering, though I do have an idea on why he wanted the girl.

-Haruka's POV-

I opened my eues and saw darkness. Not the kind that would scare a kid, but the kind of darkness that makes you think that there are people watching you. "When do you think she'll wake up?" "The hell if I know! Why can't we just eat her?" I heard whispered voices talk with each other. 'Eat me?! So those two knocked me out so they could have an ofering?! Oh fuck! Im done for!' I tried to move but realized that I couldn't. I tried feeling the restriction and recognized it immediately, 'rope? This will be easy...' I wriggled and slowly, quietly and surely loosened the rope.

"Let's get Konan" I tensed and prepared myself on what's coming for me. But then a bright light erupted making me close my eyes, "good, you are awake." When my eyes adjusted to the light I saw a pretty lady with short blue hair, a paper flower placed on her head and honey colored eyes. You know if it weren't for the piercings she'd look like an angel to me. "Come with me quietly and I am going to tell you this once, watch your manners when inside" I raised an eyebrow and shrugged. 'Now why would I mind my manners if they were the one who kidnapped me? Now that I think about it, I never been kidnapped in my whole life... this is so shameful of me' I sighed at the thought.

We arrived at a door that had the words saying leader. We walked in and was met with seven pairs of eyes. "A brat? What would a brat be of use to us?" I tilted my head to see a red headed guy with a very uninterested look on his face. "Hey there kid had a nice nap?" I glared at boy blue and was about to make a snappy remark when another guy interupted me "she would only cost us. Besides what can this child do exactly?" That's it! I've had enough with these people! "Shut the hell up! I don't care what this pretty lady said anymore! All of you are just a bunch of mother fucking assholes!" I said breaking the rope and glaring at all of them. The silence that fell into the room was ended by one of the people in this room, laughing his ass off. "I fucking like this girl! What's your name bitch?" I ignored his comment and sat down on the floor, giving a angry huff.

I looked up when I heard someone cleared their throat. "Kakuzu, since you wanted to know who she is, her name is Shinigami Haruka. Also known as the Red eyed Lightning Princess" There was silence before the same guy who laughed broke it. "So you're the girl Jashin-sama wanted me to meet! He said you took down 13 ex-jashinists and 47 other people in a killing spree!" He said grinning, while I stared at him with a blank face. "What the hell are you talking about? I don't know who this Jashin your talking about" I said turning my head back to look at the leader who was within the dark shadows. "I heard that name she's in the latest in the bingo book, un." Whispered chatter was heard but was immediately silenced by their leader "Enough! Now, I brought you here to recruit you in the Akatsuki" he said revealing his face "sorry but I refuse. If that's all you have to say, I'm gonna go back." I said turning around.

"We won't let you. Get her" they charged at me and let them touch me, I smirk electricuting them. I ran out of the door but stopped, like my body won't listen to me. "Don't be too cocky brat. We are the Akatsuki, you won't be able to escape that easily" I cursed under my breath, the red head caught me. "Sasori, bring her to the dungeon. Oh and don't forget to chain her off" well I could still escape with chains... but I was wondering what their plan is, 'maybe staying a little longer won't hurt' I thought letting red head drag me to wherever that dungeon was. I can't wait to find out.

~time skip a bit~

You know being here chained up reminds me of the time where I was inside the confinement room, being punished. You could say that it feels the same too, because right now I am being beaten. "You can end your suffering if you would just agree to join" masky said swinging another punch in my gut. "Hmph." I said smirking, "Kakuzu, is she complying yet?" Weasel asked walking in with his usual emotionless face."no. Why can't we just kill her and get the reward money?" 'Greedy bastard' I thought rolling my eyes at him. Just then the leader along with the other members walked in my so called confinement. "I see you're still being stubborn. How about we make a deal?" The leader said making me raise an eyebrow, "join us and we will spare konoha" "and if I still don't want to?" I asked curious on the consequences "if you don't we kill your brother" I growled "how do you know that I have a brother?" "We have many spies, especially in Suna, we know what goes inside" he said taunting me, I glared and broke the chain tied to my left wrist. "Try and harm my brother and you'll face my wrath" I said flashing my red eyes, which made the others take a step back. "Then why don't you join? In that way your brother will be spared" I cursed under my breath 'what will I do now? If I don't join they'll kill Hiro and probably destroy konoha too. But if I join, konoha and Hiro will be safe... GOD DAMN IT!!!'

"....tch...."

-meanwhile in konoha-

Naruto and Jiraiya was now in the leaf village with Tsunade the slug princess. She already healed Kakashi along with Sasuke who was in a coma because of Itachi's Tsukiyomi. Jiraiya informed Kakashi of what had happened to his student, and he was guilty because he could not retrieve Haruka from the Akatsuki. When Sasuke came to, the first thing that came out of his mouth was "HARUKA!! WHERE IS SHE?!" Naruto looked down a guilt filled look plastered in his face. Sasuke stood up and shook Naruto violently. "WHERE IS SHE?!" "S-she's been taken..." Sasuke was shocked to say the least "t-that can't be.... she's a strong girl, she can't be!"

-time skip-

Sasuke was devastated. The girl he found to love, taken and probably in deep pain. 'This happened because I was weak, too weak to even protect her. ' he thought, remorse and guilt flowing through his veins. Soon he made a decision, a decision to become stronger and to bring Haruka back to him.

-with Shino-

Shino heard the news with what happened to Haruka. He too, felt shocked and devastated. And like Sasuke, he will also train to become stronger in order to bring Haruka back.

Finally! Haruka's been kidnapped and now we move on to the next book! The sequel to turning a new leaf!
