Third Person:
The Caribbean sun was strong and unrelenting, the temperature and brightness almost to much to bear. Almost. The colour of Mia's skin changing from a light pale to a golden tan in the previous three days.
Since Marvel refused to take her with them to South Africa, Mia decided that she would take matters in her own hands, taking a well descended vacation of her own. Once she processed what Elizabeth had done to her, she couldn't bare being in that trailer park another second.
She packed the essentials and booked a flight to the Caribbean, where she takes her time in processing another heartbreak due to the woman she thought could have been the one.
She questioned wether Elizabeth even loved her to begin with.
Because every time it seems she loved her, every time that Mia becomes attached, she does something that unwinds it all.
Deep down Mia knew that it wasn't true, and that Elizabeth was the only one to ever truly love Mia because she was Mia. And that Elizabeth loved her, but her actions weren't it. And Mia questioned cutting her off.
Because through her love came mistakes. Mistakes that make Mia hate her, make her question Elizabeth. And god knows that Mia doesn't want to hate her. She wants to have kids with her, love her as they grown old together. But every time that Mia pictures that ever so happy ending in her head it becomes more and more clouded, faded.
Mia didn't really care how much she spent on the hotel, she was one person and she didn't really see any need as of right now to keep any of it. That's why she spent $10,000 on a hotel for a week.
She'd sit on a sun-bed and read, or she'd lie on a float in the pool, occasionally dipping in the water to cool off, shaking off the suns heat. But this day was a little different. She'd been down to eat breakfast, as she did everyday. She felt like melon this morning so she grabbed a bowl of strawberry yoghurt and melon and sat at the table on the upper floor.
There's no one on the top floor of the hotel until a woman walks in.
"Mia is that you?" She asks. She removes the large white hat on her head, and a pair of sunglasses as she walks towards her.
Mia's POV:
"Mia is that you?" The woman asks as she steps through the door. She takes off her hat and sunglasses and it's a face that I didn't ever expect to see again.
"Bailey?" I ask, so stunned that we keep running into one another. I mean what are the chances. I stand up from my chair and walk over to her.
"Oh my god what are the chances?" She asks, practically speaking my mind.
"I'm starting to think you're following me." I say jokingly, giving her a light hug.
She's wearing a black one piece swimsuit with a gold clasp and an open back. It hugs her in all of the places it covers, leaving not much to the imagination. If I'm being honest, it makes me feel a certain way.
"It would certainly look that way, but I promise you. It's just a coincidence." She laughs, pulling away from me. I notice that she steals a glance at me, taking her lower lip between her teeth.
There's a small moment where the two of us don't really know what to say. It's a little uncomfortable seeing as I practically broke up with her before we even started dating.
"Look Bailey, I know I didn't treat you particularly well, and I want to apologise." I say, sweeping my feet along the cement floor.
"It was her wasn't it. That Elizabeth one." She says, also looking down at the floor. I gesture to my table with my breakfast and we walk over to take a seat.
