Mia's POV:

"She fucking cheats, I'm telling you!"

"No, you're just awful." Ashley replies, trying to convince Mary-Kate that she's the problem and not me.

"Says you, you couldn't win shit either." She shouts, standing up from the desk and stepping away as to not send herself over the edge.

"No, but I know how to play chess, and I'm telling you. She's playing by the rules." Ashley replies, pointing at her twin.

All three of us are gathered in the hospital room where Elizabeth lies motionless on the bed. The constant beeping of the heart monitor is annoying but a small inconvenience seeing as though she's in a small coma.

It's been almost four days since she was rushed into the ER, and I've only ever left the room to shower and to eat. I read her the news paper every morning and I share information about my drawings and designs with her, even though they told me that she couldn't hear me.

"Yeah, sure. Like I'm gonna trust you!" She yells playfully. "For all I know you could be paying her." She laughs, pointing at me and then at her.

"That would be a viable assumption apart from that fact that I beat her just as much as I beat you!" I say, putting all of the chess pieces back into their starting positions.

She goes to say something, wagging her fingers at me, but nothing comes out of her mouth. She realises that shes wrong and pouts funnily. "I'll beat you one day, Langley." She pokes at me and sits back down at the table.

Many people have come to share their sympathy. All of the marvel cast have come to give flowers and chocolates and other adorable gifts for when she wakes up.

Of course her family has come around to check on the condition of their daughter. Much to my surprise Bailey even stopped by to make sure that we were both okay, which I thought was so amazing. I know that she and her were in competition for me for a while, so to see that she is so amazing as to push her own dislike for someone aside to make me feel better is really stunning.

Robbie has also been stopping by every now and then. Although at first I hated his guts, I soon realised that he was in the exact same position as me.

He was in love with a girl, and she was seeing someone else at the same time. It's clear to me that he still loves her, and that he's willing to forgive her for seeing me at the same time.

This incident has opened my eyes. I really hated her after what she did, and I really thought that I could go my life without having to be with her. But now, after a potentially life ending accident, I know that i couldn't have lived without her, I want to spend the rest of my life with her. I'm willing to overlook the fact she keeps making mistakes because at the end of the day I love her.

"Exactly, now quite being a crybaby and pay me what you owe me." I say, gesturing to hand over the 5 bucks she owes me.

In the background of the room I put on some music to lighten up the mood. I decided to play a song I felt was quite fitting, so Dream A Little Dream Of Me, by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong.

I also thought that it would be nice to Elizabeth to wake up to some fun so I brought board games with me that we could all play as we anticipated her awakening.

She reached into her pocket and pulled out a bundle of ones that I didn't bother to check, it was only a friendly game of chess after all. I may have also forgotten to tell them I was chess champion three years running.

Dorky, I know.

"Alright, imma go get something to eat, curtesy of Mary-Kate." I say, grabbing the money and shoving it into my pocket.
