Third Person:
This might have been Elizabeth's worst nightmare. Seeing Mia happy with someone that wasn't her was enough to shatter her heart.
What made things worse was that Elizabeth never stopped loving Mia, not for a second and yet she keeps on pushing her away. It's her fault that Mia is off somewhere on holiday, trying to forget all about the woman who broke her heart.
She hated herself for what she did. There was no point in staying with Robbie. It wasn't worth the risk. If she had broken up with the man sooner, she'd be waking up with Mia in her arms. Oh how she loved her touch, her soft scent or even just her presence was enough to calm Elizabeth down.
She did the only thing she could do, she went to the closest bar, and she began to drink the pain away.
It was stubborn and wouldn't dissipate without a fight, but Lizzie too wasn't going down without one. She drank from late afternoon until late in the evening. She was almost at the point where she would have blacked out at one more, but luckily for her she didn't.
Scarlett had picked her up and dropped her home. She slept for 13 hours before repeating the process.
She walked into the bar, her hair tangled and natty, big bruised coloured bags under her eyes. She walked over to the stools and took a random seat along the bar. The barman gave her the drink she was downing the previous day and threw the towel over his shoulder.
He leant down on the bar with his elbows, "what's his name?" He asks her, looking down at her hands, which run circles around the top of the glass.
"Her name is Mia." Elizabeth says, brining the glass to her mouth, but not drinking the liquor, only smelling the drink.
She brings her arm down and places the glass back onto the table. Her eyes flicker up to the man, her eyes full of pain and despair. He sees this, he sees this everyday.
But this is different. This is a similar look to those who've lost people, not romantically but physically. Ones who come to mourn loved ones. This is that.
Lizzie has lost. She's lost everything that she ever wanted. Her career was the only thing left, and it's the most unimportant thing as of right now. She'd give it all up for a care free life with Mia. In a heartbeat.
"What happened?" He asked her, taking the towel off his shoulder and turning around to clean some dirty glasses.
"I don't want to talk about it." She replies monotonously.
"Your fault, huh?" He asks, seemingly knowing the answer already.
"Yeah." She replies, finally brining the cup to her mouth and downing the the alcohol. She placed the glass on the counter and allowed the bartender to fill it back up.
"You sure that you don't want to talk about it?" He asks her as he pushes the drink in her direction.
"I'm sure." She replies, taking the glass and quickly shotting the drink. She taps the glass on the bar as a way of asking for another round.
"I'm not going to serve you another." He says, looking her straight in the eyes, challenging her, rivalling her.
"Just. Pour. It." She growls, trying her best to scare him into pouring another. His eyes don't falter and his guard remains high.
"No, you're past drunk and I'm not pouring another drink." He says, a sense of finality in his tone. He isn't going to pour her another drink, and she knows that.
She stumbles away from the bar and over to the door. The bartender doesn't bother to stop her, rather just tutting and letting her walk.
Elizabeth walks out of the door and into the dark streets, only lit by the street lamps. The air is warm the there is a slight breeze, enough to cool the temperature of the air. The streets are busy however, taxis and cars running up and down both ways.
She turns right, down the street where a club full of partygoers...party. She's not finished drowning in her own pity just yet so she walked, or limped, down to the source of the music.
Down an alleyway off the main road is two men, one man's dressed in a Hawaiian shirt and shorts, suitable for the evening LA weather. The other man is dressed in a suit, a black bow tie and vest.
Over the top is a long, dark blue trench-coat, unusual for the weather. The well dressed man wears the long coat as to cover the piece on his hip. On the other side of his waist is a fanny pack filled to the brim with cocaine.
The man in the suit pulls out the packet and shows it to the other man, who pulls a roll of money out of his pocket. They each outstretch the hand for the exchange but the man buying pulls the packet out of his hand and runs off. Before the businessman can pull out his gun the man has rounded the corner.
The suited man runs back to the black sedan, opening the car door and starting the car. Before he even has time to close the door the car is moving, down the alley and round the corner.
The thief runs out onto the pavement and past a drunk and stumbling Elizabeth. The car rounds the corner quickly, not looking out for pedestrians. The car mounts the curb, hitting an innocent woman, she flies back onto the road as the front of the car rams her. As she hits the floor her head flies back, clashing against the cement.
The car speeds after the man, mowing him down also. He gets out of the car and takes the packet of cocaine off the body. He quickly gets back in and speeds off, not looking back at the two people he's hit.
Many people rush into the road, gathering around Elizabeth while the crimson coloured liquid pours out of her skull. They scream and yell as multiple people pull out there phones, dialling 911 as fast as their fingers can move.
CNN
"Drug deal gone wrong in downtown LA tonight as dealer mows down two people outside of a nightclub, the buyer was killed in a gruesome fashion as CCTV shows the car initially hitting an innocent woman and then running over the man. We see him grab something from the body, then climbing back into the car and fleeing the scene."
"Oh my god... Elizabeth?"
