Part 2

*KATES POV*

Everyone was in the living room relaxing, I still felt anxious around everyone except Clint and pete "hey everyone" I hear petes voice through the door "hey Pete" I say giving a small wave, I swear I could see him slightly blush but I didn't look into it, he sits next to me and starts talking to Bruce, i was scrolling through my phone when I feel a tap on my shoulder and see clints arm from the vents. "oh what the fuck" I say under my breath so no one could hear but I heard Pete laugh subtly, I walk over to the vent clints arm came from and climb in and see him sat cross legged as if this is a normal thing he does "you accepted the offer of a tour around the vents" he says trying to do a spooky voice but failing miserably "wait, wait, do you climb around up here regularly?" I say as he nods "your really weird" I say chuckling "I know, it's part of my charm, but Nat has it as one of her 100 reasons she wants to kill me" I laugh again before making a hand gesture for him to lead the way.

*PETERS POV*

After about 2 hours Kate and Clint drop from the vents, Clint goes to sit down on the sofa and put the TV on while Kate taps my shoulder "hey Pete" she says to get my attention "yeah?, what's up" I say looking at her "Clint showed me his pranking equipment, I have an idea" I light up at the ide of revenge, last time Clint pranked me he clogged my Web shooters causing me to be covered in webs for 2 hours. "sounds like a plan, but uh what've you got in mind?" she gives a hand gesture to me to follow and  we both climb up into the vents and into clints "nest" I see Kate pulling a tupperware box Clint has labeled "prank stuff" we open the box and see a bunch of stuff: woopy cushions, eggs, glue, water pistols etc. "so what're we going with?" I say looking through the box "this" she says holding the glue, eggs and a bag of feathers "I like your style" I say high fiving her, she blushes a bit and so do I "thanks" we plan what we're going to do: we're gonna wait till clint walks through the living room door, we drop the glue on him and then the feathers and the finishing touch is the eggs that we throw at him. We look through a gap in the vents and see Clint leave the room "OK that gives us time to set it up" she says as we both drop down from the vents, I set up the glue bucket while Kate sets up the feathers.

*KATES POV*

"Is it completed?" I say standing back to check "not quite Aaaaaand done" Pete says dropping from the wall and stands beside me "now we wait" I say sitting down and waiting for Clint to walk through. I see the door open and Clint walks through, Pete shoots a Web at the bucket making it cover him in glue "what the he-" he's cut off from the feathers covering him "now Pete!" I say as we throw eggs at him. "I hate you two" he says with glue dripping down and feathers all over him "looking good legolas" I hear Tony say from behind me taking pictures from behind "screw you stark" he says walking out again while pointing his middle finger to us. "that was great!" Pete says laughing so hard he had to grab my shoulder to brace himself "we uh might wanna clear all this up now" I say as all the avengers start laughing with us "please tell me you recorded that" Nat says "all on video" Tony says sitting down again. After getting the glue, feathers and eggs off the floor me and pete are sitting down talking "if you uh don't mind me asking, how old are you, you don't have to answer if you don't feel comfortable though" I laughed at how awkward he could be sometimes "it's fine Pete and I'm 22, you?" I say clicking my fingers "I'm 23" (I used his age from the ps4 game) "honestly you could pass for being 15" I say laughing a bit "I get that a lot" he says looking at me with his brown eyes glistening "are uh Tony and Nat your biological family?" I say hoping it doesn't seem like I'm invading his privacy "Nat is but Tony's not" Clint walks in with clean clothes "I hate you two" he said crossing his arms and pouting like an angry 3 year old "love you too" Pete says before turning the TV on.

*PETERS POV*

While watching TV I look at Kate and admire her, she's not scared of being herself or what other people think, she's just herself nothing more nothing less. I snap out of it and say to myself "we're just Freinds I can't start falling for my own Freinds" I stop thinking entirely and just enjoy whatever we're watching. After a while I feel Kate snuggle up to me, I risk an arm around her shoulders which luckily she doesn't back away from "thanks Pete".

*KATES POV*

While watching TV I risk snuggling up with him which he doesn't move away from and puts an arm round my shoulders "thanks Pete" I say before putting my attention to the TV once again.

We stay like this for an hour before I hear Steve say "you two, dinner" I laugh because I never imagined the avengers to basically be one big family.

After dinner we remake our position from earlier while watching TV. A couple of hours pass before I feel Pete shift and sit up "hey uh Kate?" he says as I look up to him "yeah?" I say sitting up to face him "would you maybe want to go on a date with me? Itsfineifyoudonwanto... I'm sorry" he says looking up probably thinking he's messed up our friendship "I'd love to Pete" I say blushing "wait what!?" he says in disbelief looking at me "I said I'll go on a date with you" I say  giggling at his facial expression "well I uh I'm gonna go uh get ready, see you tomorrow!" he says waving to me, once he's gone I celebrate slightly, oh crap what am I going to do and wear? I'll ask tomorrow.
