Part 19

*KATES POV*

Me and pete run towards the enemies, I use a string arrow to trip up the electric guy while Pete starts fighting the lizard, the octopus guy grabs me with his tenticle and slams me into the ground, Pete shoots a Web at his eyes before attacking the electric guy whos name is max, I use my legs to push myself off of octupus man's tenticle and use my bow to smack him round the face, I duck from some electricity max threw at me before shooting an arrow at him.

*PETERS POV*

As Kate shoots an arrow at max I web ottos face to pull him closer to me before sliding under his tenticles and kicking him in the back of the head, he grabs me and throws me away before grabbed a jagged piece of metal and chucking it at me, I just about dodge and shoot a Web into his eyes temporarily blinding him, I take this opportunity to help Kate, I run over to her and start helping her take down lizard, she grabs an arrow from her quiver and stabs it into the lizards tail, he cries in pain before ripping the arrow out of his tail and it instantly heals itself "what the fu-" Kate is grabbed by otto as he slowly contricts his tenticle around her body "hey jackass!" I yell firing an electric Web at him which doesn't affect him at all, Kate uses some kinda, pepper spray arrow on otto which gives her a window to get out "well done" I say as we fist bumped, just as I go to face the lizard my spider sense goes off as max fires 5 bolts of lightning at us, I lunge at Kate so she doesn't get hit "thanks" she says putting a hand on my masked face, I'm so glad I have a mask otherwise I'd be a blushing mess "thank me later, we got work to do" I say getting off of her and outstreching a hand "got a plan?" she says looking at otto, max and the lizard as they regain their bearings "nope, let's go" I say swing-kicking max as he charges up a massive electric blast "you guys need a name, how bout the troublesome trio" I say crawling around max attaching webs from him to the ground "how bout you shut up!" he says grabbing onto me and surging volts of lightning through my whole body "no can do bud" I say as kates slammed into an air conductor by lizards tail, I flip off of max before going over to attack lizard "didn't your mother tell you to not hit girls, mine didn't, I didn't even know I had one till 8 years ago!" I say webbing his hand together and attaching another and flipping over him and tugging the Web in my hand so he hits himself in the face, I feel a pair of hand on my shoulder, I spin around and go to punch them but stop as I see kates face "sorry, anyway what's up?" I say webbing maxs hand to his face so he shocks himself "I've got a plan" she says as I shoot a Web grenade to max so he can't escape "lay it on me" Kate shoots an arrow inti lizard hand which pins him to the ground "you see that communications tower at the top, I need you to knock it over and if I'm correct it should be enough force to knock out these guys for good" I. Nod and flip off the edge of the building, attach myself to the building and slingshot my way up to the comms tower, I just about attach myself to the tower as I go hurtling head first into it, I climb to the top and attach two webs to the ground below me where I could see Kate fighting lizard and otto all at once, I pull myself forward with the webs with my feet pressed against the tower so I could knock it over, i used my full strength to knock it over but I couldn't I flip off the tower and attach more webs to the bottom so its be easier but it still wouldn't budge, after pushing for what seemed like ages I feel a slide tug beneath me, I see one of the things that kept it stood upright came flying off, I manage to get all except one of the locks off, I realise I couldn't do it myself so I leap off into a dive and into a roll as I drop to where Kate was "I'm not strong enough" I say dodging a tail whip from lizard and a tenticle attack "I don't have any alternatives!" I web onto the ground where I was stood and one onto the bent comms tower, I start pulling on both sides and start to feel it come lose "I've got it!, I've got it!" I say full of joy but then I realised we're going to be crushed in the process, the tower comes crashing down onto us, I run to Kate to get her out of here but the tower crashes into us before that and I see Kate falling, I run off the edge of the building and into a dive as I go to catch Kate, I see her trying to use a grappling hook arrow but she can't aim, I shoot 2 webs onto the ground and pull myself forward so I can speed up, I oustrech my hand as I never her, I can feel her fingertips brush mine as I am just about to grab her, I miss by a small amount and watch as she plummets to her death, I tuck my arms into my chest and put my legs together so I'm faster, as I'm inches away I shoot a small web at her pull the web closer to me and grab onto her, I feel her arms around my waist and her head buried into my chest as I attach another web to the building to stop us from falling, I jump onto a small building and put her down so we can catch our breath "we are never doing that again" she says dropping to her knees and sitting down while breathing heavily "y'know I never would've managed to do that without you" I say taking my mask off and kissing her, "cmon let's get back to the compound, I have a surprise for you" I say as she holds onto me and we swing to the compound.

*KATES POV*

We reach the compound and I climb in through the window that leads to our bedroom, I sit down on the bed as Pete rips off his mask and throws it on the bed, he pulls out a small white box and gives it to me "I was going to give it to you 2 months ago but all that stuff happened" I open the box and see a golden bracelet with a small arrow connecting the 2 chains "I love it thank you Pete" I say hugging him and kissing his cheek "love you too, you don't know how much I've missed you Kate" he says yawning "how bout we sleep, you seem tired, then tomorrow we can properly catch up" I say as he crawls into bed, I follow suite and feel him hold me close as the fimiliar feeling of security and safe Ness returns "I love you Pete" I say as he closes his eyes "I love you too" he says as we both fall into a deep sleep knowing when we wake up we'll be together again.
