Part 18

*PETERS POV*

I swing to the ex avengers tower as fast as I could, my adrenaline was pumping and I was honestly pretty excited I'd get to fight a proper villain after 2 months, I used my webs to slingshot myself so I could get there quicker, once I got to the building I crawled around the wall and using my drone to survey what was going on, I saw that it was the lizard man, the guy who controlled electricity and some guy with octopus arms, I run up the wall and make my grand entrance. I saw they had some kinda device and knew I had to stop them, I charged towards them and landed a punch straight on lightning guys face, I felt my spider sense go off and I dodged a back tentacle from the octopus man "missed me" I say looking at the guy who used his tenticle to distract me while the lizard guy slashed me, I felt the claw dig into the back of my leg as I tried going for the octopus, while fighting I got my suit to do a facial recognition since I felt bad calling them "electric guy or lizard man" I found out the octopus man was called otto and electric guy was max, I stumbled to the ground and grabbed onto where my leg was injured, I webbed the lizards eyes so he couldn't see while I jumped onto his back and punched him, I felt a bolt of electricity hit me and somehow stick into me, I fell backwards, convulsing on the ground and trying to remove the electric dagger thing, I managed to remove the bolt before using my webs to Web ottos Arms to the ground so I could attack him "gotta be honest, if you weren't trying to kill me I'd totally be geeking out about your arms" I say dodging a punch from max, while in mid air I swing kicked otto which knocked him on his ass, I land on the ground and try to catch my breath but I'm interrupted by lizard using his tail to slam me into a wall "no fair, there's 3 of you and only 1 of me" I say before attacking again.

*KATES POV*

I go downstairs, mainly to get more alcohol, I see Jack watching the news, as I grab the bottle and start heading to my room again I catch a peek at the news, it's about Pete, he's fighting off 3 guys at once, I run to my room not because I wanted to get drunk but so I could sober up and save Pete, I take a quick shower and brush my teeth, I put my shoes on and rush to the compound to get my stuff.

*PETERS POV*

I dodge a hit by otto before catching lizards arm in mine as he swiped at me, I dodged a few bolts of electricity from max and even threw one back at him which he absorbed into his body "that's awesome man" I say webbing max's face and slamming his head into the concrete roof, I kick lizard in the stomach, as he catches his breath I web his hand to the floor, he uses his strength to pick up the concrete and uses it like a hammer, I feel otto grab me with his arms to keep me still while another one snakes around my neck and starts choking me "you should've stayed out of our way" he says before releasing the tenticle from my neck and slamming me into the ground, I cough as I push myself upwards but get interrupted by lizard slamming his concrete arm into my body which makes me fall through the floor, he jumps in after me and repeatedly punches me, I manage to web his hand to the ceiling or at least what was left of it, I roll out from under him and web his other hand to the ceiling as I start wailing on him, I'm grabbed by otto who brings me back up to the roof "g-going up" I say before he uses his other arms still so max could electrocute me, I let out a scream I never knew I was even capable of before dropping to the ground, I could feel blood trickle down my face as my bones tried to knit themselves back together but failed at each attack by the villains.

*KATES POV*

I run up to the compound and burst through the doors, I see everyone turn their eyes and looks of excitement plastered across their face as they see me "Kate!, it's great to see you" Clint says hugging me, as much as I wish I could catch up with Pete is my number 1 priority "petes in danger, where's my stuff?" I say in patiently "in yours and petes room I think" yelena says as I go up to our room and find my stuff in the closet, I throw my archery suit on and grab my bow and arrows, I run up to the helipad at the top of the compound and get in the quinjet, I start the engine and track petes suit, I fly as fast as I can.

*PETERS POV*

I was able to escape temporarily so I could record a message, I hear the beeping indicating the video is recording "hey Kate, I know we haven't really spoken in 2 months and every time we do you hang up just as fast, that doesn't matter now, I'm about to die, I managed to escape from the villains for a while but their close so I need to make this quick, if you find this or God forbid you find my body, don't blame yourself, I decided to fight these guys and its my issue not yours, I know these last 2 months have been rough, trust me I know better than anyone but you need to keep fighting, your the light in my life, the reason I get up and fight, I-I love you" it felt weird saying those things knowing ill never say them in person, I grab onto my side and used my other hand to help myself stand, I go to where the villains where before taking a deep breath and get their attention, I saw them lunging at me and expecting to feel agony but I felt nothing? I open my eyes and see them turned away from me and attacking something, my vision was quite hazy and I could barely stand up, I rubbed my eyes so I could see what was going on, I thought I was seeing things but no, in front of me was Kate, I smiled under my mask as she had knocked them away from us "May I have this dance?" she says holding out her hand for me to take "you shall" I say as we start attacking the villains in front of us.
