The things I would do for you...

A week had quickly gone by since I spent those two lovely nights in Silco's room - the second night being just as entertaining as the first. I now stood over the stove in the kitchen while I warmed Jinx up something small to eat. Sevika resting at the table across from her tapping her foot lightly against the tile floor.

"How can you just forgive him so easily?!" Jinx shouted her fists slamming against the table. She was still young, so I assumed she didn't really understand why I spent the night in Silco's room, but all she heard was we basically had a sleepover.

"...You know Jinx when you get older you learn to let the past be the past-"

"You ran away! Crying?!" Jinx cut me off.

"Oh, did I?" I asked tapping my finger against my chin watching Jinx shake her chair violently; causing a chuckle to leave my body.

"You'll understand when you're older and meet someone you like" Sevika joined in as she sipped the dark liquid that resided within the square glass at her fingertips. Jinx rolled her eyes at our giggles.

"As if I would do something a stupid as fall in love" she spat crossing her arms.

"You know, if I remember correctly, Ekko had a huge crush on you, when you guys were kids..." her ears perked up at the name.

"W-What? No he didn't..."

"You two were so close, I was honestly surprised he never asked you out, then again you were like 8...I wonder if he would still feel the same way" I finished as I slid the warm bowl of Pasta-Os to Jinx, watching her snatch up her spoon before dragging her eyes over towards me.

"As if!" she glared scooping up a spoonful of her pasta and sauce before she began to devour her bowl. I turned to ask if Sevika wanted anything since I was already standing but she only waved it off, declining my offer. We sat at the small round table chatting for a bit until a tired Urgot stumbled in after a while, marching over to the fridge and pulling a glass bottle from its insides. He popped the top, tossing back the bitter beer - no matter how many times I watched him drink those, I could never shake the sour taste that form in my throat at the memory of him and Sevika dareing me to drink a bottle. His eyes landed on me as a loud burp left his lips. He motioned his head towards Silco's office.

"Oh, Silco wants to see me?" he only nodded at my question. I nodded standing to my feet and heading off into the direction of his office. I quickly found it allowing my hand to reach up and knock softly against its large door. "Silco? You wanted to see me?" I asked as I pushed the door open to see an annoyed Silco behind his desk, while he held his eye device in his right hand.

"Yes, would you be as kind as to help me?" he replied to my question with another question, waving the golden object in my eyesight. I nodded at his demand slowly making my way into his office and around his desk. I shifted my weight so I could lean it against the desk, but he only rolled his eyes before his hands slid up my waist to lift me up onto the desk allowing me to be seated in front of him - my legs on either side of his chair.

"-There" he commented as he slid his chair under his desk bringing his body closer to mine. I only smiled at his need to have me close - of course he would make up an excuse like 'it's to help your aim' as if that was the real reason. He then slipped the golden rig from his hand to mine letting his head fall into my left hand as I angled his face for the injection just as I had done a hundred times over by now. His orange eye vibrating under the metal gaze; both his eyes reminded me of open water but his orange one was so much livelier. My right hand stretching up to press the button sending the hidden needle into his pupil once more watching his body shoot back at the sudden impact. His hands gripping into his chair as they always did before a small smile grew to his face. I guess the medicine was working now. My eyes observing his every breath as he sighed letting his head slip from my hand onto my chest. "Thank you" I placed the rig to my side letting my arms drape around him.
