NICKLAUS SWAN HAD KEPT PACING BACK AND FORTH IN HIS ROOM. He didn't know how he would ask his father to tell him to go out on a date with Jasper and Alice.
The brunette sighed, pushing back his hair before throwing on a hoodie and a jacket before walking down the stairs. "Hey, dad, I've got to ask you something."
"What is it, Nik?" Charlie asked, a shotgun in his hand.
"Um..." Klaus hesitated before shaking his head and continuing. "I'm going to go out with Alice and Jasper today-"
"Both of you?" Charlie asked, gesturing to Bella and Klaus. "Aren't they a little old for you?"
"No." Klaus looked at Bella. "Edward and Bella are juniors. And Alice is also a Junior."
"So Jasper is a senior?" Charlie asked.
"Well, yeah, but," Klaus went to speak.
"Yes to Alice, no to Jasper."
"You do remember that Jasper was the one who saved me from getting killed by a van, correct? And what's it matter, I thought you liked the Cullen's?"
"I thought you two didn't like anyone in town."
"The Cullen's don't live in town," Bella said. "Technically. Edward is right outside."
"So are Jasper and Alice."
"They are?" Charlie questioned
"Yeah, he wanted to meet you, officially," Bella spoke.
"Alice and Jasper, too," Klaus said after.
Charlie glanced at Niklaus, then back to Bella. He pushed his shotgun back in place. "All right, bring them in."
"Could you be nice?" Bella questioned her father. "He's...he's important."
Charlie encircled his head, mimicking a halo. Klaus walked over to the door with Bella, letting in the Cullen vampires.
"Chief Swan." The vampires said.
"We wanted to introduce ourselves formally," Edward said. "I'm Edward Cullen."
