CHAPTER FOUR: Charlie's talk
↤︎↥︎↦︎↧︎↨︎ιммorтαl love↤︎↥︎↦︎↧︎↨︎ NICKLAUS SWAN, LAID IN BED, NOT ASLEEP AS HE CONTINUED TO SKETCH. It was the first time he had been able to draw anything that wasn't out right depressing.
Or, maybe this was a different type of depressing drawing. It was of Jasper and Alice, after all.
Bella's screaming had him snap up out of his bed, tripping over the spilled art before running to it. Charlie was already there, trying to calm the girl.
"Bella," Klaus softly called, right next to her as she turned onto her pillow, weeping. She breathed out.
"Well, I thought this thing was starting to work, but..." Charlie gestured to the dream catcher. "I guess not. Can I ask you something? Hanging out with Jacob. That seems to take your mind of things a bit, doesn't it? You know, something..."
Klaus turned to his father, a hand placed on his sister's shoulder. His father continues. "you gotta learn to love what's good for you. You know what I mean? Of course, what do I know? I'm just a terminal bachelor. Famous ladies' man."
Klaus shook his head, hiding the smile. Bella didn't react.
"Okay. Go to bed." Charlie gently rubbed her arm as she laid back down. "I love you."
Charlie turned to his son, making Klaus raise his hands in surrender. "Yeah, Yeah, I'm going to sleep."
Klaus walked to his room, Charlie following and repeating the same thing with Bella, except he had placed a kiss in the top of Klaus's head.
