CHAPTER THIRTEEN: on the run

"Where are we going?" Nicklaus Swan asks.
"Away from forks," Edward answered, still driving quickly. "We'll get a ferry to Vancouver."
"We have to go home, now," Bella tells Edward. "You have to take us home."
"You can't go home; he's just going to trace your scent there. Its the first place he's going to look."
"Edward, our father is back at that house, I am not leaving him." Klaus responses.
"It doesn't matter!" Edwards yells.
"Yes, it does!" Bella screamed back at Edward before Klaus could. "He could get killed because of us!"
"Just let me get you guys out of here first, all right?"
"He's our dad!" Klaus yells. "We have to take him with us."
"We'll figure a way to lead the tracker away somehow. I don't know. But we have to do something." Bella continues.

The two Swan bursts into their house, awakening their father. "Edward, I said leave me alone!" Bella yells.
"Bella, don't do this, please," Edward begged.
"Stay away from her!" Klaus glared at Edward.
"It's over! Get out!" Bella yells, slamming the door closed, then running up the stairs.
"Hey, hey, hey," Charlie called, chasing after his children. "Bella, what's going on? Klaus?"
"I just gotta get out of here. I'm leaving. Now." She slammed the door in their father's face, making him pause before turning to his son, only to see Klaus's door closed.
"Did he hurt you?" Charlie asked Bella, who had walked out after a minute. "What's wrong, Klaus?" Charlie asked his son, thinking he would at least give him a hint.
"He didn't physically hurt her. And...I just, I'm embarrassed." Klaus said, he was unable to hurt his father.
"Did he break up with you or something?" Charlie asked Bella, then turning to his son. "What happened? To both of you?"
