CHAPTER FOUR: the kiss

THE SWAN TWINS WALKED INTO THEIR HOUSE, WANTING TO SEE THEIR FATHER. Their father had papers all over the table. "Did you eat dinner yet?"
Charlie glanced back. "Uh, no, I haven't." He sighed. "This kid, Riley Biers, disappeared over a year ago. And his poor parents have been papering Seattle with these things ever since."
"You think they should just give up?" Bella questions.
"I wouldn't. If it were you two... Not ever."
Bella swallows her guilt. Klaus couldn't look him in the eye. They both were about to put him through that and may still. For Klaus, it seems like no matter a mate of two, vampires always ends up turned. That's what Alice had said.
Charlie then unexpectedly wraps an arm around both his kid's waists, pulling them close. After a beat, he releases them, rising to cover his emotionality. "So, one large, extra cheese?"
"And pepperoni. Or any meat." Klaus spoke. |[●▪▪●]|ⅰ㎡㎡◊Яɬ∆ﾚ ﾚ◊√∑|[●▪▪●]|
Klaus lay in the middle of his bed, Alice and Jasper on either side.
"I've got to figure out what excuses I could use to tell everyone why I don't show up on holidays. Or why I won't visit." Nicklaus says.
"Klaus," Alice sadly said, as she didn't know what she could say to cheer him up. What she knew would get Klaus to understand would only make him sadder. And so she leaned in and kissed him on the cheek. |[●▪▪●]|ⅰ㎡㎡◊Яɬ∆ﾚ ﾚ◊√∑|[●▪▪●]|
Truthfully, if Jasper and Alice didn't have to go hunting, Klaus would have stayed home. Yes, he is friends with Jacob, but it was odd to see the younger one crush on his sister, especially when both had told or hinted about how Bella would never choose him. Especially if the other choice was Edward .
The three walked along the sandy beach, Klaus happy he didn't wear any of his favorite pair of shoes. He didn't want to get sand in them, after all.
Through the entire walk, Jacob seemed tensed, worried. But, Klaus chalked it up to him trying to be the look out for the vampire hunt.
"Gosh, it's so pretty here. So, Alice is planning a big graduation party. Which you're invited to." Bella tells Jacob.
Bella scoffs when Jacob doesn't reply. "Yeah, I figured that." Jacob walks slower, stopping a moment. "What?"
"I just wanted to do this differently. Smoother. But now, I'm out of time."
