Luna was going to tell the boys everything.

Everything that she assumed they guessed but had no confirmation on. Her whole summer, from the Death Eater meeting, to her arranged marriage, to the events that led her to Remus Lupin's house on that dreadful day. She was going to tell them everything. And it was probably going to break all of their hearts in the same way that it shattered James' mothers.

Sitting on the floor with the Marauders, Luna started "I'm going to tell you all about my summer, but I don't want to hurt you, so if you need me to stop at any point, please tell me."

With the Marauders all looking at her with their full intention, Luna told her story. She began with the first day of the holiday, when they came home to see the Dark Lord and his followers in their dining room, and how the sheer volume of death eaters in the room made her want to puke, not that she knew who they were, but she had a feeling. The feeling that she was in danger. Then she moved on to her parents announcing that she would marry Regulus, and how he literally coiled away for her in disgust when she turned to him for help. Lifting up her sleeve and removing the concealment charm Mia had taught her, Luna continued explaining, this time about the dark mark, the reason behind her having it, and the sensation of being burnt alive whilst also freezing to death that came along with the receiving of the mark. She described how she believed how now she was a monster.

That was the point in her story where Sirius finally let the tears that had been fighting to escape fall. He only now realised how much he really failed his sister. How much she was really hurting, and how the Triwizard tournament was something she really did not need to be a part of right now.

Next to Sirius, Peter had been sobbing from the start, both from fear for the life that the girl in front of him was describing and the pain on her face.

Remus finally broke when she called herself a monster, knowing that the special girl was in no was a monster, and believing that he was the only monster in the room.

James, who was sitting with a sombre expression on his face, still had not let the tears that were welling up in his hazel eyes fall, but that changed drastically when Luna describe the abuse that her mother inflicted on her when she refused to comply.

Her somewhat brief description of the abuse, in an attempt to spare the boys from her reality, still made them all want to both lock Luna away so that nothing could ever hurt her again and hex every single person that even look at Luna the wrong way.

Moving on the events of her wedding day, Luna described the fear that washed over her when the 5 men entered her room, and how she realised that she had no escape, that her brother was just going to watch, and the pain that that realisation caused was 10x worse than anything that physically happened to her. Skipping over the actual events, more for her own good than the others, Luna moved straight on to her escape from the house. The ladder, which she still had no clue how it got there, and how she just ran. Then, the rest they knew, so she stopped. She had finished retelling everything that happened in her summer.

Silence.

Silence dropped over the room as Luna stopped talking, the boys all sitting in a stunned silence, digesting everything they had been told. And digest they did. It took everything in them to wrap their heads around how a parent could do that to their child, and how Luna had managed to keep this all to herself, how she had suffered alone for 2 months, but overall, how she had stayed strong, barely even breaking down.

The first person to break the silence was James Potter.

"Luna, I am so sorry this has happened to you, you don't deserve any of it." Pausing to wipe the tears that were still spilling down his face, James then continued "Can, can we hug you?"
