James and Remus were both wrecks

Remus felt horrible. He never wanted to argue with Luna, or let her leave while they weren't on good terms, she was his little sister, his Tiny. But the way she looked at him this morning, he never wanted her to look at him like that ever again. It probably didn't help that the full moon was that night, and he would be going back to his parents for a few days, so this really was his last chance to make it right.

James hadn't needed the day to think about 'if he still wanted to be in a relationship with Luna' becuase of course he wanted to be with her. There was nothing in this world that could make him not want to date Luna. Which meant he spent the whole day overthinking how Luna felt about him, if she defiantly wanted to be with him, and feeling guilty for persuading her to sleep in his bed, which could have influenced her decision. He was just an emotional wreck.

On the other hand, Sirius was so calm about all of this it was almost frightening. Turns out Luna hadn't actually left when she told James she would, but had gone straight to Sirius' room to tell him everything. From James' telling her that he loved her to her telling James she actually did love him. Sirius just sat there, holding her hand, letting her get out all her emotions. So yeah, Sirius was calm. He knew that everything would be fine with Luna, James and Remus, becuase she had told him so. So to the boys he seemed scary with how calm he was being, but he was really just completely aware of what was going on for the first time in awhile.

Walking in through the front door, Luna couldn't seem to wipe the smile off her face. She had managed to get all her Christmas shopping done, along with having a good quality gossip with Lily about every single person they both knew at Hogwarts. Turns out, Lily isn't as uptight as people think. She is actually really funny and becoming one of Luna's best friends, practically her sister at this rate

The first place Luna went was the sitting room, where Remus Lupin was sitting, attempting to read his book for the hundredth time today. He was curled up on the sofa, all his long lims somehow taking up only one cushion, with a cup of tea that had gone cold on the table next to him. Walking into the room, Luna could feel Remus' eyes following her as she sat down next to him, and wrapped her arms around his torso, snuggling her head into his chest.

"You were right" she whispered to him

Breathing out a sigh of relief, Remus allowed himself to fully breathe for the first time today, and chuckled low in the back of his throat as the words Luna just said.

Looking up at him, Luna was confused. Why was he laughing?

"Sorry, I've just been waiting for those words to come out of a Black child's mouth my entire life. It's kinda nice to finally hear them" Remus laughed

Poking the older boys face, Luna laughed at him "Your entire life huh? Glad I could check something off your bucket list"

Pushing the girl softly, Remus was laughing too "Piss off"

Pushing Remus right back, Luna smirked at him "You know you love me really"

Pulling Luna closer to him (if that was even possible seeing as she had already wrapped herself around him) Remus pressed a kiss to her hairline "I do love you Tiny"

Smiling, Luna allowed herself to relax, not fully, but the most she had all day. She had made things right with Remus and could now stop be so stressed about him hating her forever,

"Children! Foods ready!" Mia called through the house, her voice being quickly followed by the sound of footsteps running down the stairs

Pushing herself off Remus, Luna stood up herself before holding out her hand to help him up. "Guess it's time to face whatever James wants"
