"Ill be going now!" I called out to Kristen and Phil as my shift ended. They waved as I drove back to the school and went to my last period, STEM.
"PONK! OVER HERE!" Ethan shouted and waved his arm like a helicopter. I hastily walked over with a grin. I stood next to Sam as I put my things down.
"What happened to your mask?" Tubbo asked, leaning forward.
"Oh! Its in my pocket. I just forgot about it." I reached into my pocket and pulled the mask over my mouth.
"Okay Team, I modified the architect with my dad since he's also an architect and I think we may have the perfect build!" Ethan interjected excitedly. He flipped through his binder until he found the sheet and spread the paper out on the table. The diagram had been glued to cardboard and wax paper sat on top of it, held down by some tape on the backside.
"Hell yeah! Were gonna shine at the top spot and bask sorrow upon these morals!" Tubbo cheered. I smiled and crossed my arms.
"But its gonna need a hell lot of toothpicks. I tried to trim it down to be as cost effective as possible, but it still needs quite a bit." Ethan said.
Tubbo just grinned and reached under the table, rummaging around for something for a while before slammed a bag of Toothpicks on the table.
"I-" I couldn't find the words to speak. I had expected this, but I hadn't.
"I dunno, but I cleared the shelf." Tubbo said casually with a shrug. "You think it'll be enough?"
"Tubbo you- your-" Ethan sputtered. Sam looked astonished when Ponk glanced at him.
"There's Tubs for you." I sighed.
"What? Is it not enough?" Tubbo said worriedly.
"No you moron! Its more then enough! Way too much!" Ethan exploded. Tubbo grinned and unboxed one. Isabella had gone off to get the glue so we could get started.
"Why would you spend so much on one little project?" Sam asked. Tubbo turned to him with his hands on his hips.
"Unlike you, I have my pride to maintain. Also, I'm not letting 65 pounds go to waste." He said with sass. I smacked his shoulder and he caught himself with a subtle 'oof'.
"Don't use too much but not too little glue. Too much can make it heavy and more likely to fall, Too light is self explanatory." Ethan explained as if we didn't know already.
"Oh, right! I also bought some mounting putty. Doesn't it help with holding up the bridge while the glue dries or something?" Isabella said as she reached into her pocket and tossed the package of putty onto the table.
"Yea yeah yeah yes!" Ethan seized the pack and tore it open , taking a bit out and connecting the toothpicks. He slathered some glue onto the toothpick and stuck on the wax paper to dry. We repeated this with several other pieces until it was time to go.
"Oh fuck-" Tubbo swore. He quickly swept his hands in an arch around the table to clean up the toothpicks. Ethan and I joined to help while Isabella and Sam cleaned up everything else. I felt a pang of jealousy as I turned my head to see them joking together.
We stuck our bridge onto the counter and ran out. But while on my way out, I ran into someone and fell on my rear.
"Ow!" We both said. I rubbed my back and then my head which had began to hurt.
"Ponk! Are you okay?" Sam lent out a hand and I took it. I stood up and brushed off the debris and dust on the back of my pants.
"Yeah-yeah I'm okay. I'm fine." I picked up my things from the floor with heaving thoughts of Sam and Isabella together.
