Episode 9: Not a rest any more pt 3

Counting down Days before Ami goes back

"So you will be leaving in three days."(Steve)
"Yea. I will get to see the girls soon."(Ami says, trying to sound excited)
Steve raises an eyebrow.
"I sensed a croak in your voice."(Steve)
"Uhh..."(Ami)
"you know Ami, we all like you, so if you will miss anyone the feeling will be mutual."(Steve)
Ami felt like she was caught red-handed.
"Well, I wish I could spend more time with Peter, but I don't know why."(Ami)
"Do you like him?"(Steve)
"Well, yea, as a friend"(Ami)
"Well, how about more than that."(Steve)
No response from Ami.
"Do you really?"(Steve)
"Of course, I don't"(Ami)
"Oh Ami, come on."(Steve)
"No, I paused because I didn't really know how to say it, but, me and the girls lost the ability to feel romantic love after we were brought to Maho no Kuni."(Ami)
"Oh..."(Steve)
"Yea..."(Ami)
"But, I'm pretty sure Peter can handle missing two days of school to spend time with you."(Steve)
"Oh, but I don't think he should sacrifice his school for me."(Ami)
"Why not? Do you think you're not worth it?"(Steve)
"I don't know about that but I value education a lot."(Ami)
"Well darn, probably would've been better if I just lied and said that he had no school for the next two days to you instead."(Steve chuckled)
"Heh"(Ami laughs awkwardly)
"If it makes you feel better we'll pay to get him tutored for this whole school year if he does hang out with you."(Steve)
Ami looks up at Steve with glee.
"Really? Do you think he'll say yes?"(Ami)
"Well, we'll ma-..."(Steve was about to let out another truth)
"Yes, I think he'll be thrilled"(Steve)
"Ok...if that's what you predict"(Ami)
"But, Ami, can me and you spend time together today?"(Steve)
"Sure..."(Ami)
"don't feel like you can't say no to me, I would still push you if you said no, but never fear, I would never yell at you for those kinds of things."(Steve)
"I mean, also I just don't see why not."(Ami says laughing nervously).
"Ok, let's go to the pool, I'll set up a beach setting for us."(Steve)
"Ok"(Ami)
Ami transforms and flies to Wanda's room and crashes into the bed headboard.
"Ah!"
She landed on the bed.
Wanda was in the room and watched her crash.
"Are we getting too excited, kiddo?"(Wanda)
Ami sits up dizzily, with her hand on her face.
"You alright?"(Wanda)
"Yes..."(Ami transforms back while laying).
"What are you going to do now?"(Wanda)
"I'm going to the pool with Steve"(Ami gets up and starts climbing to the bedside table to get her swimsuits)
"So, I heard you were leaving in three days. We had a good time together, I just want to say."(Wanda)
"Yea, I agree"(Ami said smiling)
"You want to get dinner tonight?"(Wanda)
"Yeah sounds good."(Ami)
Ami gets changed into her swimsuit.
"Wanda?"(Ami calls her and poses shyly)
"You need a ride to the swimming pool?"(Wanda)
Ami's face turns a little pink.
"That would be nice."(Ami)
"Yea, no problem"(Wanda)
Wanda picks up Ami and puts her on her shoulder.
Walks down to the pool where Rogers was already there on the pool lounge chair.
"Hey Ami, I brought some slushies and snacks."(Steve holds up a slushie showing her)
Ami giggled.
Wanda drops off Ami next to Steve and leaves.
Ami picks up her mini slushie and a big cracker.
"Cheers"(Steve)
They cheer cups and start drinking and relaxing.
"Do you have anything you want to say?"(Steve)
"Ahh, this is so nice. It really feels like I'm outside."(Ami)
"I'll miss you, Ami"(Steve)
"Mmm...Steve, can I be honest with you?"(Ami)
"Yes, I order you to be honest to me"(Steve)
"I was really scared of you at first."(Ami)
"Well, that was obvious."(Steve)
"You were the scariest to me."(Ami)
Steve laughs.
"Do you know why?"(Steve)
"You were really serious. I hope it makes sense that I was scared of everyone when I first meet them because I really never know who could possibly turn on me as dogs do. Even when I was regular size, I was so vulnerable and I was victimized by the enemies a lot. Since they know that I used to not have friends and my friends were kind of all I had outside of my house."(Ami)
"You, know? I'm the opposite of you but also similar to you. I feel like a lot of people approach me on a daily basis. But I'm an avenger. I am always cautious because if I screw up, the responsibilities that fall upon you are so burdensome. Even though I have a lot of people speaking to me, I still feel lonely because I have to turn down a lot of beginnings to friendships for the sake of the universe."(Steve)
"I wish we spoke about this earlier..."(Ami)
"Yea, but we have plenty of time today, just keep speaking to me."(Steve)

Ami and Steve converse deeply throughout the day.
"Do you want to sleep in my room tonight Ami?"(Steve)
"Yeah. I was also supposed to have dinner with Wanda today. But after I want to be with you"(Ami)
Steve's heart was so touched by her comment.
"Do you know what time you will go with Wanda?"(Steve)
"I don't know. Whenever she has dinner"(Ami)
"Ok then, well, it's still 3:30. We still have time."(Steve)

They hang out for 2 hours then Wanda calls Ami over.
Ami is brought to Wanda's room to eat pizza.
Then Ami gets ready for bed and Steve goes to Wanda's room to take her to his room.
Ami laid on a small bed on his bedside table.

They once again have deep conversations throughout the night and then Ami fell asleep.
