Episode 23: Mina's Week pt.2

"Mina, why were you upset after you came back from Kingdom Hearts?"(Hawk)
"Because..."(Mina)
"Because what? Mina i want to help you. Don't keep things to yourself."(Hawk)
"I don't. I vowed that I don't want to tell anyone besides the scouts."(Mina)
"Why?"(Hawk)
"Because. You guys never help."(Mina)
"What did we do wrong?"(Hawk)
"You guys don't care how hard it is."(Mina)
"How hard what is?"(Hawk)
"I don't want to tell you."(Mina)
Hawk felt a bit disheartened that at the end of the day she doesn't want to talk to him. 
"To be honest, Mina. Tiana told me what The Trinity told her."(Hawk)
"Then why are you asking?"(Mina)
"Listen. She only told me what happened. None of us knew how you felt exactly. I mean were you upset at what the queen said? Were you scared like you were when you first arrived?"(Hawk)
Mina gives in. 
"No, I mean I did feel Deja Vu. I felt angry and scared again. But I told the Trinity exactly what I was feeling. At first I didn't want to tell them because I didn't think they'd care. But they told me that they did care. So I told them because maybe it would've helped me calm down. But they gave me the response that I don't like and it showed that they don't really care about me."(Mina)
"What response did they give you?"(Hawk)
"They just insinuated that I should be grateful that you guys care about me."(Mina)
"Oh, Mina. I agree. That was the worst thing they could've said to you. But let me say, they are kids and don't know better."(Hawk)
"But a lot of people said something like that. All of the Avengers told me that I should feel lucky."(Mina)
"Mina, if I'm being frank, I think they are a bit envious of your life right now. It's one of those things that people just might not understand."(Hawk)
"hmm."(Mina)
"But you never asked me about those things, Mina. I'll tell you right now, I tried my best to make you comfortable at first. Don't you remember when you cried when you first came here?"(Hawk)
"Yes"(Mina)
"Did it seem like I tried to rush it?"(Hawk)
Mina thinks about it. Come to think of it, Hawk didn't try to rush it. 
"If I didn't understand I would do whatever I wanted with you. But what I wanted was for you to come to me and talk to me about it and I would've spoken to you however I wanted to. The only reason I called Darien was because I didn't want it to get worse for you. Of course I wanted to be the one to comfort you. I tried to be as careful as I could for you."(Hawk)
"Mmm."(Mina)
"What would you have wanted me to say or do?"(Hawk)
"I don't know."(Mina)
"I didn't know either."(Hawk)
"I also think that Tiana is more rough with me."(Mina)
"That may be true. But you tried to go to wherever you wanted right when you came back didn't you?"(Hawk)
"I think I was just trying to prove a point to the Trinity."(Mina)
"What point?"(Hawk)
"That you guys are strict"(Mina)
"If it matters to you Tiana stopped you because she was worried about you."(Hawk)
"Worried about what?"(Mina)
"Let's be real, Mina. You don't feel attached to us, do you? You don't even feel attached to me. She knows that you wouldn't feel bad about ditching us or putting yourself in danger. If it came to a point where you loved us and felt very comfortable here we would let you roam free and let you do whatever you wanted. That's what Tiana said."(Hawk)
Mina felt like she was seen through. They were right. She would have almost no issue with leaving Maho no Kuni. 
"But for now, she does feel that we all need to have an eye on all of you guys until then. Also it hurts us that you guys aren't close with us. That's why we designated this week to you guys spending time with us."(Hawk)
Mina looks up at Hawk with curious eyes. 
'Is that why he made me ride the roller coaster? And he purposely chose the scary one to make me hug him?'(Mina)
Hawk put his elbows on the table and relaxed his chin in his hand. 
"Mina, I just want to say, whenever I think about you I just feel fulfilled. You mean the world to me and I wouldn't ever want you to feel that I don't mind you. I think about you whenever you're not here. I wouldn't trade you for anything."(Hawk)
Mina starts to tear up. 
"What did you think I felt about you exactly?"(Hawk)
"I just felt that you were obligated to look after me. Even when you came to pick me up from Earth after I got kidnapped. I know you greeted me happily, but I still felt like you did it because you felt like you had to."(Mina)
Hawk wiped the tears from Mina's eyes.
"Oh I still remember when I went to go pick you up. You are the reason why we are friends with the Avengers. I was so thankful that they found you that we started an alliance with them."(Hawk says proudly)
If it wasn't for Mina, they wouldn't know the Avengers. 
"I just have to say, when we were deciding who would go and get you, we all volunteered. We all love you so much. Although out of them I love you the most. You are a daughter to me."(Hawk)
Hawk brought his eyes closer to Mina and brought his hand over her and pet her head. He closed his eyes and brought her closer to his face.
