Ami and Darien went in to the guest room and tried to sleep. They were on a kind size bed.
So plenty of room for Ami to lay next to Darien's head and have her own fleece blanket. Plus she was wearing a warm onesie.
Ami had a very hard time going to sleep.
At this point Ami was laying down while Darien was still getting ready.
He finally sat on the bed.
He turned to Ami and for a second picked her up so that she wouldn't feel him getting into bed.
He laid down and put Ami back where she was.
He faced Ami.
"Having a hard time sleeping?"(Darien says soothingly)
Ami snuggled with her blanket more.
"Mmm"( Ami didn't know how else to respond)
Darien's hand went over Ami's body.
Ami was confused on what he was doing and her eyes followed his hand.
He started to pat her.
"We might be going home soon so take all the time you need"(Darien pat her body softly)
Ami seemed to be thinking really hard. She was thinking really hard about what she wants and how to say it. Of course what she wanted most is for Damian to stay, but even with that pep talk she still feels like she doesn't contribute to Damian's life at all. Ajak would be so much more helpful to him. But living in Maho no Kuni is much better for Damian overall. This is why she doesn't want to be the one to choose. It really should be up to Damian.
The patting started working and Ami slowly started to be coerced to sleep.
Then Darien finally fell asleep.
It was 6am the next morning, Ami woke before Darien.
She feels like he'll be mad if she transforms to get around so she just stayed awake laying down waiting for Darien to wake up.
Then a book started to float.
Ami sat up straight and scared.
Then sprite suddenly appeared.
Ami shrieked.
Darien woke up.
"What is it??"(Darien)
"Woah hey! It's just me."(Sprite)
"Well don't frighten us like that. Just knock like a normal person."(Darien)
"I'll keep that in mind for when I care"(Sprite says sarcastically)
Sprite walks up to Ami.
"Hey. Do you want breakfast?"(Sprite starts to baby talk Ami)
"Who's a good girl who wants breakfast?"(Sprite picks up and cradles Ami)
"Let's go eat breakfast"(Sprite leaves the room)
Darien just sighs. He gets up and gets ready for probably the last day on earth.
He goes out to the kitchen. Ami is alone on the table eating a piece of waffle while Ajak and Sprite are still preparing breakfast.
Darien sits in the chair closest to Ami.
"Woah hey! Serving service is only for Ami. You want something? Come and get it"(Sprite says sarcastically)
She wasn't really talking mean. Rather just seems like she's talking as if she doesn't know how to politely talk to people.
"Oh don't mind Sprite. I'll get your food for you."(Ajak)
"Are you sure? I can get it."(Darien)
"No you're the guest. I'll do it."(Ajak)
They all sat down for breakfast.
"So we'll do one more scan on Europe and me and Ami will leave after that."(Darien)
"Ok cool. I wonder when I'll see Damian again"(Ajak)
After everything Ami is feeling resentful towards Ajak. She just can't help it. It feels like her and Ajak are naturally competing for Damian's love. Ami says out loud that Damian should choose and she does feel that, but deep down...of course she wants Damian to look at her more than Ajak. This was what Ami has been afraid of ever since Damian went to earth for a mission.
Ajak feels compassion towards Ami. She's not resentful towards Ami in any way. For her, loving Damian shouldn't have anything to do with Ami. He loves them both in different ways. But Ami is holding Damian back. But Ami should be the one that gets what she needs and wants. Ajak doesn't NEED Damian. She's wise enough to know that and she can let Damian go for Ami's sake.
"Ami. Whenever you come back to earth always ask for me and look for me. I'll be there to protect you."(Ajak)
Ami didn't really respond she just looked at Ajak.
"Is everything alright?"(Darien)
"Yes..."(Ami)
Darien bent down to be closer to Ami.
"Ami..."(Darien)
"I'll say it later.."(Ami)
"Ok.."(Darien)
Ajak smiled. She doesn't want to intrude.
"Alright we're ready to go!"(Darien)
"Take care!"(Ajak)
"Thank you for everything."(Darien)
Darien opens a portal and goes through.
They arrive in Tiana's Lab.
There Serena and Tiana were there.
Ami was sitting in Darien's hand.
"Where's Damian?"(Darien)
"He's in at the cafe with everyone else. Why?"(Tiana)
Serena went to give Darien a kiss.
Even though Ami was right next to them.
"Hey Ami! How you doing?"(Serena pet her hair)
"She's feeling it these days."(Darien speaks for her)
"Did she meet Ajak?"(Serena)
"Yes.."(Darien)
"I see. It can be hard, Ami. I know."(Serena)
Darien let Ami on the floor to let her go her own way.
"Run along now, Ami. Go where you need to but stay in the castle"(Darien)
Ami walks out of the lab in search of the other scouts.
"Did anything major happen?"(Tiana closed the door when Ami left)
"I wouldn't say so. It was very much Ami's and Ajak's business. But...she is having a very hard time about it"(Darien)
"I can understand that"(Tiana)
"But overall, she'll be ok. It's not like Damian would be in the verge of leaving, right?"(Darien)
"Not exactly"(Tiana)
