1st POV

"My turn!" Jimin exclaimed as he stole me away from Taehyung.

"Oh, well, hello." I said, a little shook fast change of partner.

"You look stunning, Y/n." Jimin complemented.

"So do you. I saw all of those girls fanning over you. You're such a catch." I tease him.

Jimin turns red as he looked at me with wide eyes.

"You think so?" He asked.

"Definitely, you're husband material you know." I told him

I laugh at Jimins fluster reaction. We danced in silence after that. I was starting to get the hang of this and was able to fully relax.

'Hey, Y/n, there's something I need you to ask him.' Da-Eun said.

'What?'

'Ask him why did he applied to work for me.'

"Hey, Jimin, I got a question for you." I said, getting his attention. "Why did you chose to work for me?"

He smiles as if he was waiting for that question.

"Because the pay was good." He answered.

My face dropped and I looked at his boredly.

"Oh. Wow." I said sarcastically, he laughs.

"I'm just playing with you. I chose to work for you because of your reputation." He said.

"Huh?"

"The wicked dutchess, a beautiful rose with dangerous thorns, you sounded quite intriguing." He winks.

"Cute." I sarcastically smile. "But I don't think that the only reason."

He sighs.

"You're right. There was this girl that really liked me." He starts. "She had people following me everywhere, I couldn't breath in peace. Since her family was at a higher rank than mine, she easily got me to start working for her. She even threatened to ruin anyone who tried hiring me elsewhere."

"Oh my goodness. How long did you have to work for her?" I asked in worry.

"Not even a day, thanks to you." He smiles, making his cheeks rise up, making it look like he was closing his eyes. "Just when I was about to be dropped off, I saw a sign. It was of an position offering to be your personal assistance."

'So that's why he stood by you till the end, because he felt saved by you.'

"And of course, since you THE Yang Da-Eun, she would never mess with you. I lied, telling her that you had already hired me, and she was too afraid of you to even confirm it. But I definitely tried every to get this job, and I did." He said.
