1st POV
-----------Jimin was pretty confused about everything, but still stayed by my side. He probably didn't trust Jungguk to be alone with me, knowing how he is.
Jimin serves me tea, then Jungguk, then himself before sitting down next to me.
"You can start your questions now." I tell the younger one.
"Why did you lie?" Was his first question.
"I've lied many times, please be more clear and remind me of which one?" I asked, a little annoyed a this point.
"At the maskarade party, you lied to Jin." He makes himself more clear.
"Oh, because I love lying. It's one of my favorite things in the world." I lied easily.
"That's a lie." He glares.
"See? Which proves my point, making my previous statement true." I smile at myself from Jungguk's frustration.
"Whatever. Why do you hate A-Reum so much?" He asked.
'Ah, straight to the point, didn't even waste a minute.' I smile. 'Say, Da-Eun, why do you hate her?' I asked her.
'Hm, I don't know, I just do.'
'Agreed.'
"Next question." I said.
"But you didn't even answer!" He exclaims.
"I said you could ask whatever. I never said you would get an answer." I said.
Jungguk turns to Jimin, seeking help, but Jimin only shrugs.
"She did say that." Jimin confirms.
"Fine! Why did you help that maid earlier? She's a low-ranked servant while you're her Lady. You're at much higher position than her." He asked.
"Silly Jungguk, you really don't know anything. I guess anything can influence a child's brain." I sip my tea, waiting for his reaction.
"Stop talking down on me!" He exclaims.
"How ironic of you to say. Not even seconds ago you were questioning me for treating those below be as equals. You and my servant are in the same boat, as I am in a higher position than the two of you." I snort a dry laugh. "So tell me, how come you're getting angry now?"
He kept quiet, knowing I was right.
"Did Seok-Jin thought you to contradict yourself? He seems to be doing that lot lately." I said. "Luckily for you, I can set you straight, train you like a dog. Because let's face it, you're more muscles than brains."
"Y/n..." Jimin warns, but I hold my hand up.
Jungguk rushes over and grabs my collar to bring me to his lever. Jimin got prepared to stop him, but I sent him a look, making him sit back down.
At this moment, he was remembering all those times people doubted him.
Jungguk, for being young, was always talked down by many. Always being made fun of for being childish and never focusing in his studies, which is why he joined the military training. He wanted to prove to everyone that he wasn't just some dumb kid.
