A trial of innocence

When she arrived back in her office she noticed the sun was high up in the sky indicating it was noon and she sincerely hoped not much time passed since her little off world excursion .Throwing her satchel onto the sofa before dropped beside it, her pants still drenched from the impromptu dip she took but cared little when faced with what she found . Escanor hovered in the air no doubt staring at the object in her hand as well.

"So we have another infinity stone. What do you think I should do with it?" She asked

"Well technically you are the only one besides your dad and half brother that can actually touch these stones with burning to ash. And last I checked Trigon wasn't able to make them work.. so... " he trailed off and she knew exactly what he was getting at.

"You're saying I need to absorb it and try to access its power ?" She shook her head "I haven't even been able to tap into the space stone. If I did I wouldn't have needed to use you to travel through space."

"It's up to you Alex , you're the one whose body has been created for this, and I know you hate your dad right now but the only way you'll get answers is to speak to him."

"You realize if I absorb all of this , every stone, my life , my family everything I'll lose it. He'll be taking over my body.. and doing whatever the hell he plans.." she said through a clenched jaw.

"Maybe.. or maybe not. Speak to him. We need answers and those aren't what we'll get by glaring at the pretty green stone Alex."

She dropped her head on the sofa "you're right.. I know you are but .."

"You're angry but also hurt that he would do this to you." She laughed without any real amusement.

"Spot on bud, spot on"

"Mmm well let's just deal with the multiple footsteps heading this direction first before we go and have a lovely chat with my ex wielder and your papa" she turned her eye to the door and indeed could hear the stomping feet headed her way. She shoved the stone back into her pocket reaching the door. She twisted the handle a body collided into hers sending them both to the ground.

"What the fuck!" She grunted in surprise, the gold hand made her groan in frustration.

"Ser Jaimie mind getting off me?" The man hopped up immediately and offered her a hand which she took and stared at the crowd. Tyrion, Ser bronn, Lance , Rose and Lexa was all standing by the door.

"Why are you all here ?Better yet why the hell are you trying to break down my office door?" She asked with a hint of anger.

"You haven't been seen for three days" she blinked in surprise.

"Fuck really?" She asked bewildered. " three days?"

"Yes, the guards , your wives has searched the entire city but we couldn't find any trace. Then one of the squires said after dinner you were seen to enter your office and never left.. we were worried that .."

"I might've been poisoned or something similar?" She asked completely forgetting that it would be a assumption especially with there still being dissenters to her claim to the throne— realizing she received a nod she sighed carded her fingers through her still damp hair. "I was just .. busy. I didn't notice how much time passed, and must've been working throughout nights losing track of time."

"Your hairs wet, your pants is soaked your grace" Lance pointed out at lake water dripping to the floor. Damn that eagle eye.

She scratched her head "there's a perfectly logical explanation for that" she nodded sounding as convincing as she could " but more importantly call off whatever search you have going. I'll need to speak to my wives first.." she paused "actually what about the Starks? Have they been told of my ' disappearance'"
