The day that the Stark party was to arrive she found herself with Jaimie in the training area , he gave her news that made her wonder how she should indeed welcome the Greyjoys in a few days.
Their swords clanged against each other , echoing throughout the courtyard as the guards and her consort and princess watched on.
She laughed joyfully when she disarmed him after fifteen minutes after they started.
"Ha! That's your longest yet!" She grinned helping the man up to his feet.
"I feel like that was child's play for you"
she scoffed "The fact that you've now entirely become so used to using your left hand talks of how much you've improved. I've no idea how you were before but it was impressive Ser Jaimie . Take pride in it."
She wiped a bead of sweat "look you even made me sweat" she chirped as they walked off the training field .
"Well then coming from someone that's turned a battle on its head by themselves and hero of winter fell it must be a compliment" she rolled her eye and turned her gaze to her wives underneath the shade.
"I needed to show my wives I'm a capable fighter and to show my children just how awesome I am" she huffed playfully. "Don't you think I'm awesome ladies?" She asked kissing them both softly to the lips.
Daenerys rolled her eyes "Excellent my love."
"Yes I've never seen such movements before , since when did you have such a wild style?" Asked Clara
Alex hummed "mmm Escanor told me the best way to use him is to let go, no stance, no motions just follow my instincts.." she glanced at her sword "I did and well that was the result." She glanced at Jaimie who was now completely enamored with Maggie who'd been checking him over for injuries.
"How long till they marry do you think?" She asked sitting beside her wives
Daenerys glanced at Jaime , she never thought she'd get over that he slayed her father but when she realized how well he and Alexandra got along and considering she killed his sister she let the past be the past. "Within the next fortnight I've heard gossip that Lady Maggie might be pregnant."
Alex's eyes widened and noticed Jaimie caressing her belly "she needs to be taken off the active roster then." She hummed
"Forgive me for disturbing your grace." She turned to the interruption
"What is it Timmy?" She asked the squire
"The Stark banners have been seen approaching from the city Tower along kings road"
She hummed "Thank you Timmy you can continue your usual duties." She dismissed him with a smile. The young squire hopped along and in search for his knight which was Rose. She snorted the woman had her hands full with the excitable boy.
"He's my favorite" she said smiling as he ran off waving wildly to get rose's attention.
"Because he annoys Captain Rose" snorted Daenerys " and he doesn't tell her when you walk through the city in disguise" Alex turned her head at that.
"How'd you know?'"Both Clara and Daenerys gave her unbelievable looks.
"You realize that wearing a cloak isn't much of a disguise when the entire city talks about it the next day right?" Alex groaned.
"I just want to see the issues that need dealing with personally. I've set Lance to the task but he's been reporting the usual issues. Personally I think there's more to be found and with Varys's little birds mostly dedicated too listening to any rumors of discontent amongst the houses I can't ask him to ." She explained
