Construction. God she wished she owned a hard hat, maybe a pair of safety goggles, a pair of boots, and all protective gear she could get her hands on.
The damn dust annoyed her to no end, and being surrounded by sweaty men with enhanced senses was personal torture.

Discreetly scrunching her nose in disgust at the stench, she comforted herself that things were going according to schedule.

After a few more trips back and forth to her home she was able to get everything necessary for her next moves concerning kings landing.

Honestly the city was slowly unnerving her.The smell fortunately was all but gone, no longer did her city and new home reek of shit and dirt, no longer was her people susceptible to contracting some vile disease because of badly disposed faecal matter, no longer would it make it easy for them to contract hepatitis or cholera.

A huge relief in her mind and massive victory— Alex didn't think she would be able to deal with a sudden outbreak of disease smack bang in winter.
Especially since this was going to be the longest winter in years. She idly wondered what the fuck was wrong with this earths weather patterns. It was disjointed, wrong, unnatural — long summers, summers stretched for years and winters lasting even longer. A point she'd bring up with the all knowing goddess she occasionally fucked. What better topic for pillow talk than discussing the latest meteorological activity. 'Sexy', she snorted at her thoughts.

Oh yes but that's off topic, construction, homes were being built in quick fashion, boundaries extended and strengthened to encase the new additions — underground sewerage lines and filter systems built to stave off the similar problem they had in the past. One would think being so close to the ocean would help the stagnant odor but no, Robert Baratheon was a pig and his reign was fraught with issues one being the alarming poverty and mortality rate, even before him;the mad king— no matter how crazy he was apparently the city didn't smell like festering three year old shit or fall into disrepair even if he was burning people every other weekend.

Her internal monologue was disrupted by a nervous squire "Your grace ! Your grace!" She turned to the out of breath squire. Liam she recalled , he was one of the youngest, only 10 years old. But did his work diligently, which was basically following Daenerys around like a lost puppy. It was both adorable and amusing to witness in equal measure. Especially with her white haired wife's current temperament.

"Calm down, before you give yourself a heart attack boy" she chuckled "now since you're able to breathe air into your lungs once more. Tell me why you're screaming for me?"

Liam blinked and smiled sheepishly before his face devolved into a mixture of panic and excitement"My apologies your grace, but it's an emergency"

Alex frowned in worry "What has something happened to Daenerys ?"

Liam nodddd rapidly "yes, queen Daenerys is currently in labor!"

Alex's eye widened, she nearly lost her own breath, ' oh fuck' "she's giving birth!" He nodded "oh shit , come on then I .. uh" she turned to the workers who looked as concerned as her "okay let's go" she muttered grabbing Liam and headed off to the RedKeep.

Her arrival in the RedKeep was expected, her good eye scanned her surroundings, she headed straight to the room she arranged for times like this. When she reached the hall, she was stopped by Jaime " your grace"

"Is she okay? Is the baby okay? What's happening?" She questioned rapidly

Jamie fought back a chuckle at his queens panicked look "Her majesty is well, according to the maesters your child will be born within a few hours."

Alexandra gulped harshly "I need to be in there" she muttered pushing past Jamie she noticed Clara absence as well "and don't try to stop me Jaimie"

Jaimie lifted his hands defensively "I wouldn't dream to, her majesty has actually been asking for you" Alexandra nodded pushing her hand roughly through her hair. She paused " shit" trying to calm her raging heartbeat, her wife didn't need her panicked, she needed to breath, she needed to calm the fuck down. She was a surgeon, well nearly a full fledged one but she had enough rotations in the gynecology department to be able to birth a child.
