it's been a few days since the couple started officially dating, and both sunoo and jungwon weren't happy about it.
"can't you believe it? sunghoon? dating?" jungwon said, shaking his head as the couple passed by them.
"i'm kinda doubting this relationship, a play boy and our innocent pal, DATING?" sunoo huffed his breath, also shaking his head.
you may be wondering, why sunoo and jungwon are still taking jakes side after what jungwon revealed back then but let's rewind a bit back.

"we should worry about sunghoon." the air felt heavy for jungwon, he felt as if he was on thin ice after revealing what jake has done.
"what exactly has jake done though?" sunoo asked, tilting his head as jungwon bit his lip, he felt like sunoo didn't believe what he was saying, but he did say it too straightforwardly, maybe that's why.
jungwons mood suddenly went down, he felt shivers going down his spine as words slipped out of his mouth. "he killed euijoo..."
sunoos eyes widen, byun euijoo... also known as EJ, sunoos best friend.
"when i was walking home from my middle school, i seen what he has done..." jungwon felt a lump in his throat as he continued to speak. "i seen it, at the park at september 7, 2020." euijoos birthday.
"they were best friends, along with three others who i'm not so sure about.. but that's not the point! the point is that jake is a murderer-."
"no.. he isn't." sunoo looked down, and jungwon stared at the boy confused.
"what do you mean.."
"jake did not kill EJ." he stared at jungwon, and bit his lip, trying to prevent himself from letting the tears fall. "we just wished for him to be happy, but he left the world just like that, leaving us behind."
"what ever you seen was not true, jake hyung would never! they were best friends, ride or die, or whatever they called each other." sunoo let out a dry chuckle.
"what are you saying.." jungwon was so confused, he wasn't getting the whole situation, he knew he seen it so clear, he seen the way jake snuck up behind the poor boys back and strangled him to death, but telling sunoo about it just made it confusing for him.
"me, jake, youngbin, daniel and euijoo... we were the bestest friends until euijoo commit suicide, we all parted ways.." sunoo swallowed his saliva, hoping jungwon would believe the older as he fed him lies.
