chapter nineteen

it was the next day and sunghoon was making his way to his destination to study with one of his friends, he was excited since he hasn't gotten to hang with him for some time.

sunghoon smiled as soon as he seen his friend seated on the table of the small shop near their apartments.

the heavenly smell of fresh goods hit his face as soon as he entered made his tummy rumble since he has not eaten anything. he loved the smell of freshly baked cookies and breads, along with scent of strawberries that lingered in around the shop.

"heeseung hyung!" sunghoon said waving his hand as he made his way on the table, he sat down as heeseung pushed his laptop to the side and smiled at the younger boy.

"hey! i brought us the usual, it should be done soon." heeseung said, and tapped his pencil on the table. "so shall we get started on studying?"

"yes we can!" sunghoon said putting his backpack on the table and took out his papers and laptop and they both began studying.

a lot of time has passed and heeseung decided to start a conversation since they were nearly done, it was a topic that he wanted to know more about.

"does jake treat you right?" heeseung asked, eyeing the boy who shot his eyes at the older boy, confused at the sudden question.

"uh, yeah, of course he does, we love each other." sunghoon smiled, remembering each moment he and his boyfriend had together. "what makes you think he doesn't?"

"i was just wondering, because he looks so... fake?" heeseung said, he didn't know which term to use because he did not want to offend his friend.

"fake? he would never lie to me, we made a promise to always say the truth." sunghoon quickly defended, he didn't know where heeseung was trying to point out.

"i mean, he's so rude to us for literally no reason, we once passed by each other and he literally gave me the deadliest death glare and pushed me as he walked by."

"what do you mean hyung, are you saying he's mean? are you calling him a bully?" sunghoon furrowed his brows, staring deeply at the boy.

heeseung couldn't deny, because it was the truth, jake didn't seem like a good person.

the older sighed. "what ever, does he know you're with me?" he asked and sunghoon shook his head.

"he was busy today, so i didn't get to tell him that we were meeting up." the younger said leaning his head on his hand, a pout over his lips, no one knows how badly he missed his boyfriend, he has definitely gotten attached.

"park, you should watch your heart, what if he breaks it." heeseung mumbled, jakes presence was really something, he feels a bad vibe each time he sees him and he can't just ignore it anymore.

"he won't, we promised to not break each other's heart, we are gonna be together forever." sunghoon giggled, remembering the little pinky promise they made.

the sight frightened heeseung, this is gonna end so badly if sunghoon actually believes in the lies jake has been sprinkling over him, the older knew something was up, not now but he knew something big was gonna happen soon.

"hoonie.. promises don't last forever, sooner or later.. it will end up broken." heeseung said, hoping sunghoon would think more about it, does he actually see love in that guy?

"sunghoon, i don't trust him."
