Procrastination had been Jeongguk's best friend in college and high school, when he did attend, but now as he stood hovering outside his apartment door with a frown on his face and his eyes dull, it was not his best friend.

On the other side of the door was his son, waiting for him with Seokjin who was home from his cafe. The idea of going inside and facing either of them with the truth about what happened today, with who he saw, was enough to send him back into tears.

But he didn't.

"Pull yourself together, Guk. You aren't a baby," he muttered with a sigh as he poked his tongue to his cheek. The idea of facing his son to tell him that his papa was seen today was something that made pain bubble in his stomach.

Jeongguk knew he was grown now, but sometimes, he felt as if he was still that sixteen year old kid. There was some things he still struggled to learn, and it was usually about who he was and how to handle himself, and it was moment's like this when it was obvious.

Sighing to himself, he pushed open the door to the apartment was greeted by a familiar sight. Seokjin was standing in the kitchen, his hair a simple soft brown with his silver framed glasses perched on his nose.

He wore a beige turtle neck sweater, some simple black jeans. His face was still as stunning as when he was younger, despite the fact he was almost thirty soon, and his hair soft as it fell over his features.

The gold band on his finger glinted in the light of the kitchen as he was bending over the stove, the sight of son with his messy black-brown hair standing with him on his stool so he could reach was endearing and gentle.

Legally, Seokjin wasn't married to Namjoon. Gay marriage was still illegal in South Korea, but Seokjin was a stubborn man and bought them rings and signed their own papers to make them "wed" and just told everyone they were married.

It was charming since everyone already considered them married anyways, and whether or not the country saw that didn't really matter to the couple. They were happen and in love, so no one stopped them.

Minjun had grown a lot, and therefore growing into himself. He still looked like Jeongguk, but he was starting to see the differences between the two. His more delicate shaped features, slightly button nose, and the way his hair was more curled a bit as it fell over his dark chocolate eyes.

He was still small, even for an eight year old, and the scar from the broken collarbone when he was three still glinted and peeked out from his long sleeve shirt and his slacks. He was watching his hyung with rapt attention, humming to himself in a very Jeongguk way, and looking precious as he stood there.

Sometimes Jeongguk hardly believed that this little boy was his baby. His little Minjun that he loved so much, who use to sleep cradled in his arms, and then would run away with a lisp that was now almost gone from his voice.

What was heartbreaking, however, was there was still some Yoongi lingering in the boy. Little things like the way he touched his ear with his hand, slightly bent fingers, or how he made a slight purring noise when he talked about certain things.

At the sound of the door, Minjun turned, his bright, slightly toothless smile on full display. He was missing two of his bottom teeth, and one of his top teeth, while his puffy cheeks turned a bit puffier at the grin that caused his nose to scrunch like his father's.

Jeongguk felt himself soften.

"Daddy!" he cheered, rushing off the stool to rush towards his father. Jeongguk smiled and let his small body collide into his own. He chuckled at the weight. "You're home early! Jinie and I were making food! Look! Look!"
