"Yoonie! Yoonie, wakey," Minjun groaned, his tiny hands shoving at the older man's shoulder. The latter groaned, wondering what was with the Jeon's and their desire to continue to wake him from his beautiful sleep. "Yoonie!"
"Mini," he mimicked back sleepily as he peeled open one eye to see the dark haired toddler pouting with his arms crossed, frowning towards him. The sight was amusing and adorable, causing a little laugh to erupt through his throat as he pushed himself up, just to tickle the baby's sides.
He squealed, kicking his tiny legs and his laughter echoing throughout the bedroom. "Am I up now, Min? Huh? Is this awake for you? Huh? Huh?" he teased, grinning when he saw Minjun trying to crawl away, but pulled him back and lifted his shirt to blow a raspberry on his bare belly.
"Yes Yoonie! Yes you up!" he shouted and Yoongi pulled away, satisfied. Minjun panted lightly, still giggling as he sat up and grabbed Yoongi's hand. "Surprise now?"
"Hmmm, maybe you should check the living room," he commented offhandedly. The boy gasped excitedly before he slid off the bed and dashed for the living room. Yoongi glanced at the clock and saw that it was around four in the afternoon.
Getting up and stretching, he heard Minjun shout in joy at what was waiting and rounded the corner to see him staring at the pillow and blanket fortress in wonder and glee. Yoongi grinned. "I figured tonight we should watch your favorite movies, have some pizza, and a bunch of snacks- our little secret, yes?"
Minjun nodded happily.
"Go put on some PJ's- I'll pop the popcorn. Do you want milk or juice?"
"Wolk!" the toddler shouted as he went to go follow Yoongi's orders. Yoongi went to the kitchen, filled the sippy cup and then proceeded to pop the corn. He grabbed a few bags of snacks, knowing that during the movie they both will munch.
Carrying the load back to the fort, he set everything inside just as Minjun emerged. He had his teddy stuffed in his arms and dragging his blanket behind him as he crawled inside. Yoongi pulled up Netflix and flicked on a movie as they settled under their fort.
Hours passed, Yoongi ordering the pizza and both of them being little piggies in the safety of their fortress, which Minjun lovingly called "Suga Castle" and watched little cartoon movies and aggressively sang Disney songs.
Yes, Yoongi "sang" Disney songs. They were catchy, fight him.
His phone began to ring around eight thirty, and he glanced at the ID to see that it was Jeongguk wanting to video call. Grinning, he paused the movie and sat up, pulling Minjun so that he was sitting in his lap.
"It's your daddy, Min," he mumbled in his ear before he hit accept and held the phone so that Jeongguk could have a clear view of the two boys, hair messy, PJ clad, and puffy cheeks. The view of Jeongguk slowly came into view.
He looked to be locked in a bathroom, basing on the tile in the background, and his brown hair brushed down and hiding his eyes a bit. He looked exhausted, anxious, and jittery- eyes flickering towards somewhere off camera.
"Daddy!" Minjun squealed, gripping the phone tightly in his hands when he saw that his father was in the screen of the phone, and Yoongi held it to make it stayed. As if Minjun's small voice was a balm, he sagged and grinned a bunny smile to match his son's.
"Hey baby! Daddy misses you so much," he murmured, eyes boring into the phone as he if he could just transport himself there. Yoongi smiled sweetly. "Hey Yoongi. I see you're surviving."
"Don't mention it- I'm going to get war flashbacks," he teased, winking. Jeongguk giggled, looking lovingly through the phone as Yoongi took the phone from Min and held it up so the younger man had a better view. "Don't worry- Min is alive. Min, tell your dad how awesome I am!"
"Daddy, Yoonie and Mini pway all day and-and Yoonie bought toy and wots of cuddles! And-and Yoonie even nappy wif Mini too!" Minjun said excitedly, all within one long breathe of air as he bounced in Yoongi's lap. The older chuckled.
"Oh, he did, did he? I'm so happy you're having fun, baby. You look so sweet in those pajamas," Jeongguk cooed, grinning at the phone with a shining glint in his eyes. Minjun nodded his head, leaned forward to cup a hand around his mouth like he was telling a secret.
"And Yoongi created a Suga Castle, and-and eats wots of snackies and pija!" he whispered, though still loud enough for Yoongi to hear. Jeongguk's face became blank as he arched a brow. "But no tell Yoonie I tell daddy."
"Pizza, huh?" Jeongguk mused, eyes flickering towards Yoongi who glared down at Minjun, who giggled and murmured a soft 'oopsie'. "Min Yoongi. You let him eat pizza?"
"Traitor," he muttered to Minjun who giggled and clambered off his lap to return his eyes to the TV, which was now playing again. Yoongi flashed a sweet, sugary smile to the phone, hoping to sooth his boyfriend. "Pizza? No... never...." he trailed off.
"Snacks too? How much candy did he eat?"
"Define candy?"
Jeongguk huffed. "Yoongi!" he groaned. Yoongi flushed, a bit sheepish as he glanced towards Minjun and their long hail of snacks that have been devoured in their time of movie watching and pizza nibbling.
"Okay, okay, fine. Yes we ate pizza and we ate some snacks," he admitted, then huffed with a small whine. "But Gukkie, he's so cute and I wanted to cheer him up so I said, why not some pizza with a surprise, so it is not my fault. It's yours for having the cutest little son in the world, okay?"
By the time he was finished with his little tirade, he had Jeongguk in a laughing mess and his cheeks burned. When the younger man gathered himself, he stared into the phone with a burning look in his eyes.
"I love you," he breathed out suddenly. Yoongi smiled back.
"I love you too," he replied sweetly. There was a small moment of silence, letting each other hear each other's soft breathing. Jeongguk sighed, running his fingers through his hair and his shoulders slowly filling with tension. "How is it over there in Gwanju?"
"Nice," Jeongguk said after a moment. "I'm really that I have Tae, otherwise I would probably die. I miss you so much, and I just want to be with you, cuddling our son, and just anywhere but here."
"You just have tomorrow, love, and then you will be back with Min and me," Yoongi reminded him gently, threading his fingers through Minjun's hair as the toddler stretched out, head on Yoongi's lap and his eyes drooping. He smiled to himself. "We miss you too."
"I'm hoping they will arrive early, but I don't even know. God... I can't wait till this is over. Everyone keeps trying to talk to me, and I don't even know what to say," Jeongguk groaned, pinching his nose before he huffed.
"Soon," Yoongi mumbled. "But don't stress. Just be yourself, you know?"
"I don't even know who that is," Jeongguk said with a breathless laugh. Yoongi frowned, unsure of how to answer the sudden confession that was laced with something a bit deeper when a sound of knocking came over the line. Jeongguk hissed. "Hyung, gotta go. I love you and give Min a kiss."
And the line was dead.
