Once lunch began, Y/N decided to spend time with Childe. She began rushing over to where he was but before she could, she heard a voice.

'Y/N. Please come to speak to me.'

Him again...

'Okay, coming.'

Zhongli smiled as Y/N looked around for Childe. Before she could say anything, Zhongli had taken her away. He took her to a secluded corridor and Y/N looked at him expectantly.

'I won't keep you for long. But, that recording you listened to... what was it about?'

'Oh, it was just... about this weird organisation thing.'

'Hm. Anything else?'

'Not real - '

'Listen. You have two weeks. You must find out who those four remaining traitors are. You must be sure, or innocent people will die. Do you understand?'

'What. No, I don't - '

'I know it seems confusing. You're smart, Y/N. Make a plan. Figure it out.'

'Why are you telling me this?'

'I'll tell you later. But just because I'm being a bit more lenient, doesn't mean I'm going easy on you.' Zhongli took Y/N face in his hands. He pressed a kiss against her forehead then left.

'Huh...'

So I have to figure out who these traitor people are because... Zhongli said so. I mean, there's no harm in trying, right? Two weeks. I'm still... really confused. So much has happened over a couple of weeks... all that matters is finding out who those people are. Who works for that guy in the recording.

Y/N began looking for Childe again. It took a good ten minutes until she found him in the library. Not a place he would usually be at, but nevertheless Y/N went up to him.

'Childe! I - '

She was pulled into a hug immediately.

What's with these mood swings - I swear he hated me.

'I'm sorry, Y/N. I'm sorry I said that. I wasn't thinking straight.'

'Oh - that's fine. Don't worry about it, Childe.'

'Anyways, I have this - '

Y/N and Childe talked for the whole lunchtime. They ate lunch together and they both felt happy for each other's company. Y/N felt content. But in the back of her mind, she was panicking.

Wait... I haven't told Childe about Zhongli. I should -

'...and I don't know why it got so big - '

'Childe?'

'Yeah?'

'I... need to tell you something. Come with me.'

Childe nodded and followed Y/N until they were alone.

'I just wanted to tell you something. It's about... Zhongli.'

'Oh?'

Should I tell him? Can... I trust him? Ugh, just do it -

'... and so he's kinda held me hostage in my own house. He's locked me up before and kept me in this random building for two weeks. I have no idea where my parents are and Venti's dead and it's all awful.'

'What...' Childe's face turned stone cold.

'And... I have no idea what to do because there are these people who are part of this... society... thing...'

I'm oversharing.

'Zhongli... Why. What has he done to you? I knew he was off...' Childe gritted his teeth, annoyed.

'Y/N, don't talk to him anymore.'

'I'd love to, but I can't... he's staying in my house and everything. I don't know anymore...'

'Stay at my house, then! Oh God, I'm so sorry, Y/N, I didn't think...'

'It's fine. I'm fine now anyway. It was just a lot to take in. I don't think I can stay at your house, he wouldn't let me.'

'We'll think of something okay?' Childe hugged Y/N again, smiling.

A figure turned away near a corner, frowning. They were frustrated. They should have seen this coming. They soon turned around and opened the door to Zhongli's office. The person smiled at Zhongli, who was typing on a computer.

'Could you do me a favour and print...'

Time passed.  It was now the day after - Thursday. Zhongli left the house as usual in the morning and Y/N decided to do something productive with her time. She slowly opened the laptop again and typed in her password.

Password incorrect.

I swear I typed it in correctly -

She tried two more times. She couldn't get in.

It was him, wasn't it... Ugh... I should really start paying more attention to all this...

Y/N decided to make a plan with her spare time. A plan to get all four traitors and possibly figure out more about this secret organisation. After a lot of thought, Y/N had everything written down. It was time to leave by then, so she grabbed her stuff which had thankfully been replaced along with her plan.

Zhongli began his way to the school once again. He walked for a couple of minutes then slowly pulled out a phone. He typed in a password then scrolled through the chats. He looked at one.

'Childe'

He clicked on it, then slowly scrolled through their chat history.

It wasn't particularly important. Usually, Childe asking for homework answers. Zhongli sighed then typed in a message. He clicked send, smiling slightly.

A reply came back almost instantly.

'wdym?? i didn't do that -

where did you get that from

lmao what

anyways did you get any more info on zhongli?? bc ik how messed up everything is - '

Zhongli frowned, then pocketed her phone once again.
