'I... I'll go with Rosaria.'

Rosaria nodded blankly.

'Very well.' Master indicated Y/N and Rosaria to leave.

The pair got up and began walking around the large building to find the source of the screams as if it was the most casual thing ever. They echoed across the corridors, as gut-wrenching and piercing as ever.

'Hmm. I assume we have to go this way,' muttered Rosaria as she led Y/N around a corner.

Despite how terrifying she seemed, she wasn't that bad.

'Um, I think it's this way now...' Y/N and Rosaria navigated themselves through the maze of hallways and rooms.

It all looks the same. How can anyone know where they are or where they need to go?

After several minutes, the screams stopped. The two were met with silence, still having not found the area from where the screams were coming from.

'It's... stopped.'

'No shit.'

Rosaria suddenly began moving at a brisk pace, where Y/N struggled to catch up. Y/N thought that Rosaria knew where she was going, yet they seemed to be just wandering in circles.

Y/N knew that Rosaria wasn't stupid and that she could have reached the area in half the time they were taking.

So why is she...

Finally, the pair entered a room. It looked more like a dungeon, however. The ground was made of stone and so were the walls, which made Y/N question the whole building's structure. There was a silhouette on the ground. Two of them, Y/N realised after looking closer in the hazy light.

Water trickled down the cold walls and Y/N slowly approached the figures. Rosaria, however, held her back.

'Wait.'

Rosaria went over to the figures on the ground and began inspecting them. Y/N couldn't see a lot from where she was standing, but after a while, Rosaria motioned for her to come over. Y/N followed and looked down at the people.

'Are you hurt - '

She stared down at the people, trying to make out who they were. Then it hit her. The air left her lungs and her blood turned to ice. Y/N stumbled back, in pure shock at who lay in front of her.

'No...'

'Y/N! I - I'm so sorry... Please! Help m - '

They let out a choked sob and began crying again. Their empty screams echoed around the chamber. Y/N suddenly spun around.

Rosaria's gone?

She looked back at the person, startled, as tears ran down their face. Y/N couldn't do anything.

'Please... I trusted you...' Y/N muttered as she bent down to look at them.

'Y/N, please! Help me. I - I was trapped in h-here too. I'm not... part of any of this...'

'I don't think you...'

'PLEASE! I'll do anything! Save... save...'

'Save who?'

Y/N looked at what was in their arms. The second sillouette. A body.

Y/N let out a scream, flinching as the body's icy skin pressed against her own. She knew that person. The hair, the clothes. It was all unmistakable.

'Who. Who the fuck did this.'

'I - I don't know...'

Y/N crouched to the floor, frustrated and angry.

I don't know anymore. I can't...

Y/N looked up at the crying person once again.

'I'm leaving.'

'No. NO! Y/N I... I can't do this!' They crumpled to the ground.

Y/N looked at them.

I should help them... I guess. I think. Should I? They're... not the best person, and I don't think I should trust them... Whatever.

Y/N turned to hug them rigidly. She still wasn't fully certain about them but she couldn't do much about it now. They wiped their tears and gave a small smile.

'Thank you.'

'It's fine.'

I shouldn't have trusted them.

'I should... really get going. I'll come back! I'll get help, and we can both leave...'

'No.'

'What do you - '

It hurts. Why does it hurt? I'm just sad. Then why do I feel...

They drew out their knife. And stabbed Y/N once again.

'Don't. Go.'

You don't need to fucking kill me.

'I... won't...'

'I don't believe you!' They grinned, despite being in shreds several minutes ago.

'I ...can help. Let me go... stop...'

'No. Your chance has gone.'

The knife stabbed into Y/N a total of 7 times. Not like Y/N herself was counting.

'There... now... they can finally rest... along with you.'

Y/N saw the dizzying blur of the person who killed her morph into nothingness.

'Help... please...'

'No one can help you, silly! You're all alone! Now, die. Hurry up.'

Y/N felt warm blood escape her body as her skin paled.

It wasn't supposed to...

Rosaria had already gone. There was no one saving her now.

'Goodbye, Y/N!'

'Don't... Go...'

Y/N's eyes turned glassy as her last breath escaped her body.

The person's smile froze. They stayed perfectly still, then fresh tears rolled down their face. Their smile did not falter.

It wasn't supposed to end like this.

!!!Game Over!!!
